Melbourne Storm vs Wests Tigers Prediction – Round 10 2026

07/05/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Melbourne Storm’s collapse has reached new lows in the Craig Bellamy era, as they aim to avoid an eighth straight loss when hosting the Wests Tigers at AAMI Park on Sunday.

The Storm led the Dolphins 10-0 early before a capitulation in the final 20 minutes of the game led to their 28-10 loss.

Meanwhile, the Tigers fell out of the top four after their 52-10 loss to the Sharks last Sunday. Benji Marshall has reshuffled the Tigers’ backline, with Heath Mason named at fullback and Sunia Turuva shifting to the wing.

Patrick Herbert replaces Starford To’a in the centres, while Jock Madden comes in at halfback for the injured Adam Doueihi. Kai Pearce-Paul also returns from concussion in place of Samuela Fainu.

Melbourne has just one change, with Jahrome Hughes returning to replace the injured Tyran Wishart at halfback. The Storm have won eight straight meetings between these sides, including a 64-0 demolition last year.

Storm vs Tigers Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Do not adjust your devices, yes, the Melbourne Storm really are sitting 16th heading into NRL Round 10.

The Storm slumped to loss number seven on the spin last start, a record for the franchise, albeit an unwanted one.

The Tigers will be looking to be the latest team to collect their severance package from the struggling Storm, payment for the last two decades of dominance.

Could the cheque bounce though? It’s not out of the realms of possibility, considering the Tigers had the dreaded 50+ put on them last week.

That of course means, if history is to be believed, they cannot win the comp this year.

Still, as crazy as it sounds to say out loud, the Storm are currently in the untippable basket, even at home.

Betting tip: Wests Tigers.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Sualauvi Fa'alogo crossed early last with a solo stunner and would have been the man to open the scoring if not for the efforts of team mate Tyran Wishart 15 minutes earlier.

Well, with nine tries in his last 10 games, we’re tipping him to go one better this week and be the first one across the line here.

Betting tip: Sualauvi Fa'alogo.

Over/Under Prediction

Seven of the Wests Tigers' last eight matches as underdogs have gone under the total match points line.

Betting tip: Under (53.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

Melbourne has failed to cover the line in eight of its last nine matches against opponents that were ranked inside the top eight.

Betting tip: Tigers (+6.5) line.
