Cronulla Sharks vs Sydney Roosters Prediction – Round 6 2026

10/04/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Cronulla Sharks and Sydney Roosters renew one of the NRL’s best current rivalries when they meet in the second game of the Perth double-header.

The Sharks head into this clash as one of the competition’s form sides, having bounced back from early-season losses to post back-to-back wins over the Raiders and the Warriors.

The Roosters, meanwhile, arrive refreshed off a bye week but with plenty to prove, as the Tricolours look to climb the ladder and avenge their finals exit at the hands of Cronulla last season.

With Nicho Hynes and KL Iro in red-hot form on the edge, the Sharks will fancy their chances of making it three straight wins over the Chooks, but no pressure, right?

For the latest news, odds and analysis ahead of this semi-finals rematch, check out our Sharks vs Roosters tips and predictions below.

Sharks vs Roosters Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Sharks have won the last two meetings between these sides, including a 20-10 victory over the Roosters in the opening week of last season’s elimination final.

Despite the critics installing the Roosters as favourites over the Sharks, Cronulla are ranked third in the competition, averaging 27.2 points per game, and the statistical case for a Sharks victory is hard to ignore.

One glaring weakness for the Roosters is their defence against outside backs; a staggering 18 of the 19 tries they have conceded this season have come via the edges.

With Cronulla’s attacking firepower on a dry Perth track, we’re siding with the Sharks to claim a third straight win over their arch-rivals.

Betting tip: Cronulla Sharks.

First Try Scorer Prediction

The Roosters have been exposed on the edges, particularly on their right side, and KL Iro can carve up poor defensive teams off the back of quality play from the Trindall-Hynes combination.

Betting tip: KL Iro.

Over/Under Prediction

When the Sharks and Roosters have played against each other, they have only gone over the total match points line in two out of their last five matchups, and we’re expecting the game to be another close battle.

Betting tip: Under (50.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

Cronulla has covered the line in five of its last six matches against the Roosters.

Betting tip: Sharks (Sharks (+1.5) line.
