Cronulla Sharks vs The Dolphins Prediction – Round 3 2026

20/03/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Cronulla will look to bounce back in Round 3 when they host the Dolphins at Shark Park on Saturday evening.

After getting off to a hot start to start the season, Cronulla was subsequently stifled by the bloodthirsty Panthers, falling 26-6 in Bathurst last week.

The Sharks’ 13 errors and 74.4% completion rate cost them dearly, but coach Craig Fitzgibbon will take it as an early-season lesson.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins stole victory away from rivals Gold Coast at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

It was a poor first 50 minutes from the hosts, who found themselves 14-0 down before scoring a trio of unanswered tries to sail home for an 18-14 win.

Fitzgibbon has named the same 19 for the third week running, with Kristian Woolf also opting for stability following the Dolphins' first win of the season. Cronulla got the better of the Dolphins last season, triumphing 24-12 at this venue.

Let’s see how this one will play out. For the latest news, odds and analysis ahead of this fish fight check out our Sharks vs Dolphins tips and predictions below.

Sharks vs Dolphins Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

A couple of strong swimmers will square off on Saturday, when the Sharks welcome the Dolphins into their waters.

After a stunning start to the season, Cronulla were handed a reality check by the Panthers last week out in Bathurst.

The Dolphins did the opposite, starting their campaign with a loss, before getting back on track against the Titans last week.

However, we weren’t overly convinced by their late, scrappy four-point win over the Gold Coast. Particularly considering, their opponents here, put 50 on Josh Hannay’s side in Round 1.

The Sharks home record is also impossible to ignore when it comes to choosing a winner here. The men from the Shire have won each of their last eight home matches and we’re tipping them to make it nine.

Betting tip: Cronulla Sharks.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Not only has the starting right centre of the opposition scored in six of the Dolphins' last seven matches, but the man who will be lining up there for Cronulla on Saturday, already has two tires in his first two games this season.

That’s why we’re backing the Sharks’ Jesse Ramien to be the man to open the scoring in this match.

Betting tip: Jesse Ramien.

Over/Under Prediction

Six of the Dolphins' last seven matches have gone over the total match points line.

Betting tip: Over (55.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

The Dolphins have failed to cover the line in seven of their last eight matches.

Betting tip: Sharks (-7.5) line.
