Cronulla Sharks vs Canterbury Bulldogs Prediction – Round 11 2026

13/05/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

Looking to avoid a five-game losing streak, the Canterbury Bulldogs kick off Magic Round against the Cronulla Sharks at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The Bulldogs were demolished by the Dolphins last Thursday, losing 44-12 at this week’s venue.

Meanwhile, the Sharks' inconsistent season hit another bump last Saturday, going down 36-12 to the Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium.

Cronulla has fared better in this matchup in recent years, winning seven of the past nine meetings, although the sides split two encounters last season.

Ronaldo Mulitalo and Jesse Ramien are ready to return from their respective injuries for the Sharks. Jayden Berrell takes over at hooker for Blayke Brailey, who will miss with a concussion, while Jesse Colquhoun comes in at lock for the injured Cameron McInnes.

Big inclusions as well for the Bulldogs, who welcome back Matt Burton and Max King into the starting lineup while Kurt Mann is back on the interchange.

Sharks vs Bulldogs Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Cronulla Sharks and the Canterbury Bulldogs have the honour of opening Magic Round, when they light the touch paper for NRL Round 11 on Friday night.

Despite their high-profile recruits and early promise under the tutelage of rookie coach Cameron Ciraldo, the desperate Dogs are down in the doldrums.

They were towelled up at this very venue last week by the Dolphins in a 44-12 massacre that now sees them sitting in 13th.

Meanwhile the Sharks did their thing, by following up a stunning win with a loss, to ensure they remain the most hot and cold side in the competition.

One week, top four contenders, the next mid table cannon fodder, which incarnation of Cronulla will we be seeing at Magic Round?

It’s hard to say, but it’s not hard to say which version of the Bulldogs will show up, the only version there is, a version that seems incapable of putting together a full 80 minutes and consistently winning football games.

Betting tip: Cronulla Sharks.

First Try Scorer Prediction

One of the game’s biggest personalities is finally back and we’re tipping him to return in a big way.

Barnstorming winger Ronaldo Mulitalo has been sidelined for the best part of a year with an ACL injury but is set to start in Magic Round.

Before his injury, he had at least one try in each of his last four appearances against teams on a losing streak and we’re backing him to continue that trend and open the scoring here.

Betting tip: Ronaldo Mulitalo.

Over/Under Prediction

Each of the last four matches between Cronulla and Canterbury have gone under the total match points line.

Betting tip: Under (51.5) total match points

Line Prediction

Canterbury has failed to cover the line in each of their last eight Friday matches.

Betting tip: Sharks (-5.5) line
