Manly Sea Eagles vs Melbourne Storm Prediction – Round 17 2026

25/06/2026|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The latest chapter in the rivalry between the Manly Sea Eagles and Melbourne Storm unfolds at Brookvale Oval on Saturday night.

The Storm have now won five of their last six, after overcoming a slow start to trounce the Raiders 42-20 at home last Sunday placing them firmly in the hunt for a spot in the top eight.

The Sea Eagles let a crucial two points slip in a 13-12 golden-point loss to the Dogs last week which saw them drop out of the top four.

The Storm will be without one of their stars in Jahrome Hughes, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury, with the Perth Bears-bound Tyran Wishart to start in his place.

Manly have lost Reuben Garrick, Brandon Wakeham and Kobe Hetherington, with Josh Feledy, Jake Simpkin and Ethan Bullemor coming into the starting side. The sides split their two encounters last season, with the visitors winning each clash.

For the latest news, odds and analysis ahead of the latest instalment of the Battle of Brookvale, check out our Manly Sea Eagles vs Melbourne Storm tips and predictions below.

Sea Eagles vs Storm Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

A clash between two of the competition’s most storied sides that have so much hate for each other takes centre stage at Brookvale on Saturday night, with Manly’s resurgence under Kieran Foran having injected genuine belief into a side that didn’t look like they had life earlier in the year.

The Storm arrived in the best form they have been in this season, which is shocking to say in this manner, but the Storm really struggled to begin the year.

Manly struggled at the end of the game against the Bulldogs, failing to hit the match, and their form has dipped slightly in the middle part of the season.

With Tom Trbojevic playing his second match since his injury, he will need to be playing to perfection if they have any shot against the away side.

Despite the Sea Eagles’ improved form, Melbourne’s experience and tactical nous in big matches should prove the difference, especially after they defeated the Raiders on Sunday afternoon after being down 16-0 to start.

Betting tip: Melbourne Storm.

First Try Scorer Prediction

This man is simply on fire. Few players have enjoyed life under Kieran Foran than flyer Lehi Hopoate.

Able to play anywhere in the backline, but most prolific on the wing, where he’ll be starting this match, Hopoate has scored at least one try in nine of his last 10 appearances.

At least! This makes him a very favourable first try scorer pick in our book.

Betting tip: Lehi Hopoate.

Over/Under Prediction

Each of Melbourne's last five matches as an underdog in Sydney have gone over the total match points line.

Betting tip: Over (47.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

Manly has covered the line in each of their last six home matches against teams on a winning streak.

Betting tip: Manly (-6.5) line.
