NRL Tips and Predictions - Round 19 2026

07/07/2026|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

State of Origin for 2026 is just about done and dusted, but rugby league doesn't stop for anyone, with NRL Round 19 arriving hot on its heels.

While a handful of clubs will be sweating on how their stars pull up from Wednesday night in Brisbane, others have been lucky enough to escape the series almost entirely unscathed, and that discrepancy could shape more than a few results this weekend.

There are top four implications littered throughout the draw, a battle at Brookvale, the battle of the fish as the Dolphins host Cronulla and a Campbelltown clash that could be season-defining for Benji’s men.

So, without further ado, let's dive into the fixtures and find out who is best placed to make the most of Origin's aftermath.

For all the latest news, analysis, and predictions ahead of this week's action, check out our expert NRL Round 19 tips and predictions below.

Wests Tigers vs New Zealand Warriors Prediction

Friday, July 10, 8:00pm AEST - Campbelltown Sports Stadium

It's genuinely now or never for Benji Marshall's Wests Tigers if they want to keep their finals hopes flickering and unfortunately for them, the visitors arriving in Campbelltown are the form team of the competition.

Fresh off the bye and sitting equal second on the ladder, the Warriors have been one of the most consistent outfits in the NRL all season and they'll fancy their chances of continuing that run against a Tigers side who have been hot and cold all season.

New Zealand have also made a habit of putting sides on a losing streak to the sword, winning each of their last six matches against teams in exactly the position the Tigers find themselves in now.

The one silver lining for the men in black and gold is that Origin has barely touched their roster, with Kurt Capewell and Mitch Barnett the only representatives scheduled to back-up just two days after Origin three.

For the Tigers to be any hope in this one, we’ll need some magic from the likes of Doueihi and Luai, but it's likely a bridge too far against New Zealand.

Up the Wahs!

Head-to-head prediction: New Zealand Warriors by 13 points or more.

Betting tip: Dallin Watene-Zelezniak to score two or more tries.

The Dolphins vs Cronulla Sharks Prediction

Saturday, July 11, 3:00pm AEST - Kayo Stadium, Redcliffe

The Dolphins' Origin contingent should largely be back in the fold this weekend, and that's ominous news for a Sharks outfit who'll need to be at their absolute best to leave Redcliffe with the points.

Even without five Origin reps out last week against Newcastle, the Phins still found a way to look good doing it, going down against Newcastle by just one point.

Saturday arvo footy on a dry track at Kayo Stadium should suit a Dolphins backline that loves room to move. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Max Plath, Selwyn Cobbo, Jack Bostock and Tom Flegler definitely adds to the potency of the squad too.

The biggest out remains Isaiya Katoa, who's still on the sidelines, but Brad Schneider has shown enough that he can do a job next to the experience of Kodi Nikorima.

The Dolphins’ depth in 2026 has been their strength and we think they’ll make a deep run in the finals as a result.

The numbers back the home side too, with the Dolphins having won each of their last six matches in the Sunshine State, while Cronulla's last four outings have all sailed under the total match points line, suggesting a low-scoring arm wrestle might be the way to go here.

Dolphins to pip the Sharks in a close one.

Head-to-head prediction: The Dolphins to win by 1-12 points.

Betting tip: Jamayne Isaako anytime try scorer.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs Canberra Raiders Prediction

Saturday, July 11, 5:30pm AEST - Accor Stadium

The Bulldogs are riding a wave of momentum after a string of wins that's put a genuine finals tilt back on the table, while the Raiders remain stranded in the bottom half of the ladder on just 16 points from 13th.

Stephen Crichton’s move to five-eighth seems to have proved a winner, with him running the show in their 13-12 win over the Sea Eagles a fortnight ago. But Crichton’s looked to be struggling with niggling injuries all year; we’re tipping he’s unlikely to back up after Origin 3.

Despite being close to mathematically impossible, we're not ready to write off last year's minor premiers just yet. Running an eye over their lineup, they’ve got firepower across the field and Ricky’s men don’t give up easily.

Between Kaeo Weeks, Seb Kris, Matt Timoko and Xavier Savage - this Raiders side has points in them; probably more than the Dogs.

We're backing the Green Machine to make a statement here, with a snubbed Ethan Strange the man to lead the charge.

Head-to-head prediction: Canberra Raiders to win by 1-12 points.

Betting tip: Ethan Strange anytime try scorer.

Sydney Roosters vs Parramatta Eels Prediction

Saturday, July 11, 7:35pm AEST - Allianz Stadium

Parramatta head into this one with some genuine confidence after knocking off Manly last week, with Dylan Walker and Jonah Pezet doing the damage with Mitch Moses' Origin duty absence.

Jason Ryles' men have been close to the mark all season without ever looking truly dominant and rightfully sit in 14th on the ladder.

Our read was that Manly were shell-shocked without their own Origin stars, and we're not convinced Parramatta can spring the same kind of ambush twice.

Particularly against a classy outfit like Uncle Nick’s Roosters who have just taken a break after effectively ending the season of the Brisbane Broncos in Round 17.

This Roosters outfit, with the likes of Tedesco, Sam Walker, Nawaqanitawase and Cherry-Evans typically backing up just fine from representative footy, looms as a bridge too far for the Eels at Allianz Stadium.

Roosters to win and win well in this one.

Head-to-head prediction: Sydney Roosters to win by 13 points or more.

Betting tip: Mark Nawaqanitawase and Billy Smith to score a try each.

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Newcastle Knights Prediction

Sunday, July 12, 2:00pm AEST - Accor Stadium

New coach Justin Holbrook has injected some serious energy back into this Newcastle squad and they proved it in style last week, beating the Dolphins without the services of Bradman Best and Kalyn Ponga.

The Rabbitohs, on the other hand, will be lacking a little confidence after a comprehensive 36-14 belting at the hands of Penrith and they'll again be playing with no Trell Mit’.

Newcastle find themselves inside the top four for the first time in a long while, with Ponga playing some of the best football of his career and we're leaning towards the Knights to get the job done here, even if it's tight.

We'll admit to being wary of ever backing against Wayne Bennett, but the numbers and the momentum both point one way this weekend.

Head-to-head prediction: Newcastle Knights to win by 1-12 points.

Betting tip: Dylan Lucas first try scorer.

Manly Sea Eagles vs North Queensland Cowboys Prediction

Sunday, July 12, 4:05pm AEST - 4 Pines Park, Brookvale

Fozball took another hit last week when Manly were beaten by Parramatta, but with the likes of Haumole Olakau'atu back from Origin duty, the Sea Eagles will be ready to rip in as they push for their own finals berth.

The Cowboys, though, are no easybeats. They showed exactly what they're capable of before the bye, running out 26-12 winners over Penrith in an emotional night that saw Jason Taumalolo celebrate his milestone 300th NRL match.

Taumalolo has wound back the clock this season, inflicting serious damage on opposition forwards still, after 17 seasons in the top grade.

With the likes of Dearden, Nanai, Drinkwater, Luki and Cotter still leading the way and newer faces like Purdue and Chester adding fresh spark, North Queensland remain a tough proposition for anyone.

Still, with Tom Trbojevic finding some form and the game being played at Brookvale, we'll lean just slightly towards the home side in this one.

Head-to-head prediction: Manly Sea Eagles to win by 1-12 points.

Betting tip: Murray Taulagi anytime try scorer.

Melbourne Storm vs Gold Coast Titans Prediction

Sunday, July 12, 6:15pm AEST - AAMI Park

The Titans are slowly finding their feet under Josh Hannay but with a newfound halves pairing of young Zane Harrison and Jayden Campbell, plus Keano Kini at the back, they look like they have a winning formula.

That said, it’s pretty clear that Craig Bellamy will be sending traffic at the rookie halfback all day - it may be a long night at the office for Zane Harrison.

And with Jahrome Hughes likely to return to the fold this week alongside the Origin contingent, a result other than a Storm win feels unlikely.

Melbourne have their eyes firmly fixed on a finals charge, and this shapes as another opportunity to tick off a routine two points.

Head-to-head prediction: Melbourne Storm to win by 1-12 points.

Betting tip: Will Warbrick to score two or more tries.

Brisbane Broncos, St George Illawarra Dragons, Penrith Panthers - BYE

Three sides get the week off in NRL Round 19, with the Broncos, Dragons and Panthers all sitting back to rest and regroup ahead of the run home.
