NRL Tips and Predictions – Round 14 2026

02/06/2026|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

While the representative season continues to dominate headlines, there is still plenty of intrigue surrounding the NRL premiership as we head into Round 14.

With teams beginning to separate themselves from the pack and the battle for finals spots heating up, every competition point is becoming increasingly valuable. Some clubs will welcome back key stars from Origin duties, while others are still dealing with lengthy injury lists and form concerns.

Round 14 features several fascinating contests, including a heavyweight clash between Manly and South Sydney, a dangerous road trip for the Roosters in Canberra, and a Monday afternoon showdown between Canterbury and Parramatta.

For all the latest news, analysis and predictions ahead of this week’s action, check out our expert NRL Round 14 tips and predictions below.

Manly Sea Eagles vs South Sydney Rabbitohs

Thursday, June 4, 7:50pm AEST - 4 Pines Park

Round 14 gets underway on Sydney’s Northern beaches as two genuine finals contenders lock horns in what could be one of the games of the weekend.

The Manly Sea Eagles have been one of the stories of the season, sitting comfortably inside the top four and playing with a confidence that few teams can match.

South Sydney, however, continues to find ways to win. The Rabbitohs have built their season on resilience and defensive toughness, qualities that become even more important in matches like this.

The Sea Eagles look slightly more settled into the contest, and the home crowd could prove the difference in a game that should remain close throughout.

Head-to-head prediction: Manly Sea Eagles.

Betting tip: Lehi Hopoate anytime try scorer.

Melbourne Storm vs Newcastle Knights Prediction

Friday, June 5, 6:00pm AEST - AAMI Park

Few teams have been harder to predict this season than Melbourne.

The Storm have spent much of 2026 searching for consistency and currently find themselves outside the top eight, a position that seemed almost impossible to imagine a few years ago.

Their home record remains solid, and AAMI Park is still one of the toughest road trips in rugby league.

Newcastle arrive full of confidence after establishing itself as a legitimate finals contender. Their attack has improved dramatically this season, and they possess the strike power to trouble any defence.

The concern for the Knights is that Melbourne traditionally responds well when their back is against the wall. This feels like one of those occasions.

Head-to-head prediction: Melbourne Storm.

Betting tip: Harry Grant anytime try scorer.

Canberra Raiders vs Sydney Roosters Prediction

Friday, June 5, 8:00pm AEST - GIO Stadium

Every time it appears the Raiders are building momentum, another disappointing result follows, but then they win again.

The inability to string together consistent performances has left them languishing outside the finals despite possessing one of the more talented rosters in the NRL.

The Roosters struggled against the Storm, but have been going about their business, winning games to be among the competition's heavyweights.

Travelling to Canberra is never easy, but the Roosters still look like the more complete football team at the moment.

Head-to-head prediction: Sydney Roosters.

Betting tip: James Tedesco anytime try scorer.

North Queensland Cowboys vs The Dolphins Prediction

Saturday, June 6, 5:30pm AEST - Queensland Country Bank Stadium

This shapes as one of the toughest games of the round to tip.

North Queensland have climbed back into finals contention, but looked lost against the Raiders.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins continue to prove they have the potential to belong with the competition’s better sides.

The Cowboys receive a significant boost with key personnel returning, and Townsville has traditionally been a difficult venue for visiting teams.

Expect points to be scored and the road time to tip the scales.

Head-to-head prediction: Dolphins.

Betting tip: Over total match points.

Brisbane Broncos vs Gold Coast Titans Prediction

Saturday, June 6, 7:35pm AEST - Suncorp Stadium

This is exactly the sort of game Brisbane cannot afford to lose, especially after losing to the Dragons, who were winless before their match in Round 13.

The Broncos have been one of the disappointing teams this season, but they remain firmly in the finals hunt.

Gold Coast have endured another difficult campaign and continue to sit near the bottom of the ladder.

At Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane should simply have too much quality across the park.

Head-to-head prediction: Brisbane Broncos.

Betting tip: Jesse Arthars anytime try scorer.

Wests Tigers vs Penrith Panthers Prediction

Sunday, June 7, 2:00pm AEST - Suncorp Stadium

The Tigers deserve plenty of credit for remaining competitive throughout much of the season, but this is an enormous challenge.

Penrith continue to set the standard in 2026 and sit atop the NRL ladder for good reason.

Without Brian To’o, Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo, the Panthers managed to beat the New Zealand Warriors, who sit one spot below them on the ladder.

Their ability to win regardless of personnel changes remains unmatched and they have developed a habit of suffocating opponents through relentless pressure.

Although the Tigers have improved compared to previous years, the Panthers rarely leave empty-handed.

Head-to-head prediction: Penrith Panthers.

Betting tip: Under total match points.

Cronulla Sharks vs St George Illawarra Dragons Prediction

Sunday, June 7, 4:05pm AEST - Sharks Stadium

The local derby should bring plenty of passion, but it’s difficult to ignore the gulf between these two sides.

Cronulla generally take care of business against teams below them on the ladder and will see this as a golden opportunity to bank two competition points, even without their star Nicho Hynes.

The Dragons finally got their first win of the season. Their effort hasn’t always been the problem, but their inability to finish games and limit defensive lapses has been costly.

Derby football can produce surprises, but this feels like a bridge too far.

Head-to-head prediction: Cronulla Sharks.

Betting tip: Ronaldo Mulitalo anytime try scorer.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs Parramatta Eels Prediction

Monday, June 8, 4:05pm AEST - Accor Stadium

Round 14 concludes with two traditional rivals desperately searching for momentum.

The Bulldogs have endured a disappointing campaign with injuries and a lack of consistency.

Parramatta have had similar struggles, although against the Knights, found a lot of positives and lessons to learn.

With the likely return of Mitch Moses, his presence instantly changes the way the Eels attack.

This should be close, but Parramatta’s playmaking edge could prove decisive.

Head-to-head prediction: Parramatta Eels.

Betting tip: Under total match points.
