Canberra Raiders vs Penrith Panthers Prediction – Round 10 2026

07/05/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Canberra Raiders look to cause a major upset to close out Round 10 when they host the Penrith Panthers at GIO Stadium on Sunday.

The Raiders started strongly against the Titans last week and cruised to a 28-12 victory. Meanwhile, the Panthers survived a scare in their last outing, narrowly defeating an undermanned Manly side 18-16 to maintain their hold atop the NRL ladder.

Canberra will welcome back Ethan Strange at five-eighth, with Kaeo Weekes returning to fullback. Hudson Young also returns from suspension in place of the injured Joe Roddy.

Just one change in personnel is required for Penrith with Jack Cole added to the bench in place of the suspended Jack Cogger.

The Raiders have won their last five matches as a home underdog and will be confident in their ability to topple the Panthers again, having won the last two meetings between the sides, including a dramatic golden point victory late last year.

Raiders vs Panthers Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The final game of NRL Round 10 sees the Canberra Raiders welcome the Penrith Panthers to the nation’s capital on Sunday afternoon.

With three wins in their last four, it appears last year’s minor premiers are finally finding some form, after a shocking start to the season.

Despite this recent revival, they still sit 13th and will need the likes of Kaeo Weekes and Simi Sasagi to be on one if they want any hope of upsetting the Panthers.

Speaking of the Panthers, they churned out yet another victory last week, although unlike most, Manly made them really work for it, with a Nathan Cleary conversion the only thing between the two sides at fulltime.

Try scoring freak Thomas Jenkins decided to have a week off from scoring a double, so we doubt he’ll be able to contain himself here and simply have to cross the stripe one or two times in what should be a comfortable victory for him and his teammates.

Betting tip: Penrith Panthers.

First Try Scorer Prediction

We’re picking a Panther here and surprisingly, it isn’t 2026’s leading try scorer Thomas Jenkins.

We’re actually going with Dylan Edwards, who will be desperate to mark his mark early, with Origin selection around the corner.

His biggest threat when it comes to the NSW Blues No.1 jersey, James Tedesco, has been in imperious form of late, so look to Edwards to respond in the only way he knows how.

He also loves playing on the road and has scored at least one try in each of Penrith's last five away matches.

Betting tip: Dylan Edwards.

Over/Under Prediction

Each of Penrith's last four interstate matches have gone under the total match points line.

Betting tip: Under (50.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

The underdog has covered the line in six of Canberra's last seven matches.

Betting tip: Raiders (+10.5) line.
