South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Cronulla Sharks Prediction – Round 10 2026

06/05/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Cronulla Sharks will be looking to climb higher up the ladder when they play the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium on Saturday.

The Sharks rocketed back into top form last weekend as they trounced the Tigers 52-10, marking the second time this season they’ve reached the half-century mark.

Meanwhile, the Bunnies overcame a 22-point deficit to take the lead late in Newcastle before the home crowd played its part in steering the Knights to a wild 42-38 victory.

Matthew Dufty drops to the Rabbitohs bench to make way for Jye Gray despite some impressive performances in his stead, while Ashton Ward is preferred to Jamie Humphreys at halfback.

Edward Kosi joins the backline as cover for the injured Jack Wighton, and Euan Aitken returns to the starting side, pushing Tevita Tatola to the extended bench.

Meanwhile, the Sharks are unchanged from their dominant win and will be looking to build momentum while chasing a sixth straight victory over the Rabbitohs.

Rabbitohs vs Sharks Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Two teams who look like premiership contenders on their day yet can turn in absolute stinkers at the drop of a hat, meet here when the South Sydney Rabbitohs host the Cronulla Sharks.

Souths currently sit fourth thanks to their all-out attacking style that has seen them blow many a team off the turf in 2026.

The likes of Latrell Mitchell, Cody Walker and the NRL’s all-time leading try scorer Alex Johnston have run riot in recent weeks, running up quite the tab with the scoreboard attendants.

Unfortunately for Souths fans, the bill is often getting left with the defenders, who some weeks, struggle to pay.

Take last week for example, they scored 38 points, more than enough to win a game of footy, yet still fell to the Knights after leaking 42 points the other way.

The Sharks aren’t shy when it comes to scoring either, they dropped 52 on the Tigers last week to move back into the eight.

If you do the math, you’ll see we have one hell of a firefight brewing here, and while it’s anyone’s game, we will be taking the Rabbits by a hare.

Betting tip: South Sydney Rabbitohs.

First Try Scorer Prediction

You’d think after breaking the record for the most tries in NRL history, South Sydney try scoring hero Alex Johnston would have taken his foot off the gas.

Well, it’s been the direct opposite. AJ has scored at least one try in each of South Sydney's last eight matches making him an excellent candidate, as usual, for first try scorer.

Betting tip: Alex Johnston.

Over/Under Prediction

Each of Cronulla's last five matches have gone over the total match points line.

Betting tip: Over (54.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

Cronulla has covered the line in each of their last seven matches against opponents that were ranked higher on the ladder.

Betting tip: Sharks (+2.5) line.
