South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canberra Raiders Prediction – Round 6 2026

10/04/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The South Sydney Rabbitohs head to Optus Stadium in Perth for a blockbuster round 6 clash against the Canberra Raiders, in what shapes as a pivotal early-season test for both clubs.

Wayne Bennett’s men sit fourth on the ladder from three wins, including a bye, riding genuine momentum into the west.

The Raiders, meanwhile, arrive in dire straits, sitting 16th after winning just one of their five games, including four consecutive defeats.

The Bunnies will be desperate to shake a familiar Perth hoodoo, having lost their last five games in the west, while the Raiders boast a remarkable five wins from five in Perth, although they haven’t played there since 1997.

Rabbitohs vs Raiders Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Raiders hold a commanding recent head-to-head advantage, having won each of their last four meetings.

The most recent clash told a similar story, with Canberra running out convincing 36-12 winners at GIO Stadium in round 14 of 2025, a result Souths will be desperate to avenge.

Form, however, tells a very different story heading into Saturday, with the Rabbitohs having exploded off the blocks. At the same time, the Raiders were thumped 32-12 by Newcastle in their most recent outing.

The Rabbitoh’s potent left-edge combination of Latrell Mitchell and Alex Johnston has been firing, with the pair combining for 10 of South Sydney’s 19 tries this season, a weapon Canberra’s leaky defence will need to contain.

It’s hard to see the Raiders producing the offensive output needed to trouble a Rabbitohs side brimming with confidence, and we’re tipping South Sydney to win.

Betting tip: South Sydney Rabbitohs.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Simi Sasagi has found great form this season with the Raiders despite their struggles, and the backrower/centre has try-scoring ability that could startle the Bunnies.

Betting tip: Simi Sasagi.

Over/Under Prediction

Four of the last five matches between South Sydney and Canberra have gone over the total match points line.

Betting tip: Over (49.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

The underdog has covered the line in six of Canberra’s last seven matches.

Betting tip: Raiders (+6.5) line.
