26/08/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

With just three rounds of regular season footy remaining in this year’s edition of the NRLW, things are really heating up in the women’s competition.

In recent weeks records have tumbled, undefeated runs remain alive and the make up of the top six has undergone tectonic shifts.

What does NRLW round 9 have in store for us? Let’s find out! For all the latest news, analysis, odds, and betting tips ahead of this week’s action, check out our expert NRLW round 9 tips and predictions.

Canberra Raiders Women vs Wests Tigers Women Prediction

Saturday, August 30, 12:45pm AEST – GIO Stadium

The opening game of NRLW round 9 sees the bottom two sides collide when the Raiders welcome the Tigers to GIO Stadium on Saturday.

The Raiders picked up just their second win of the season last week, but boy did it prove to be a memorable one.

The Green Machine ran in 10 tries against the Bulldogs in a crazy 54-26 victory. That final tally of 80 points set a new NRLW record for the most points ever scored in a single match.

Coming off that memorable win and taking on the toothless Tigers who went down 30-8 last week, we’ll be tipping Canberra to pick up win number three of the season here.

Head-to-head prediction: Canberra Raiders Women.

Betting tip: Simaima Taufua first try scorer.

St George Illawarra Dragons Women vs New Zealand Warriors Women Prediction

Saturday, August 30, 3:15pm AEST – Jubilee Stadium

In their first season back in the big time in over half a decade, the New Zealand Warriors still have a shot at playing finals football.

Last week’s hard-fought loss to Cronulla hasn’t exactly helped their chances, but they are still within touching distance of the top six.

It would be quite the achievement for the Warriors to make the finals this season; an achievement we’re tipping them to take another step towards with a win over the lowly Dragons who are currently languishing near the foot of the ladder.

Head-to-head prediction: New Zealand Warriors Women.

Betting tip: Under total match points.

North Queensland Cowboys Women vs Sydney Roosters Women Prediction

Saturday, August 30, 5:15pm AEST – Queensland Country Bank Stadium

Last year’s Golden Boot winner Tarryn Aiken and her Sydney Roosters side are on one of the all-time tears at the moment.

They are yet to lose this season, and we are yet to tip against them. Guess what, we’re not about to start now.

Especially after they scored 44 unanswered second half points in their 56-12 win over Parramatta last week.

Head-to-head prediction: Sydney Roosters.

Betting tip: SGM: Big win little win – Roosters 13+ & Tarryn Aiken anytime try scorer.

Cronulla Sharks Women vs Newcastle Knights Women Prediction

Sunday, August 31, 11:50am AEST – Shark Park

Just like that the Knights are out of the top four and the Sharks are in it. There are indeed levels to this game, as the Knights found out when the Broncos ran in nine tries to their three.

This result allowed the Sharks to swim upstream and leapfrog Newcastle into fourth with their gutsy win away in New Zealand.

Emma Verran was the hero in Hamilton crossing for a double and now back home at Shark Park we’re backing her and the rest of her Cronulla teammates to repeat the dose, putting further daylight between them and the Knights.

Head-to-head prediction: Cronulla Sharks Women.

Betting tip: Emma Verran first try scorer.

Brisbane Broncos Women vs Canterbury Bulldogs Women Prediction

Sunday, August 31, 1:45pm AEST – Totally Workwear Stadium

It looks as though the Broncos are going to do everything in their power to keep the Roosters honest in the race for the minor premiership.

Their mammoth 46-16 win over the Knights last week showed they won’t be going quietly and that the Chooks will have to remain perfect to finish first.

Names like Kerri Johnson, Julia Robinson, Romy Teitzel and of course Tamika Upton continue to fire on all cylinders for Brisbane and we’re backing them to maintain the range this Sunday when the Bulldogs come to town.

Head-to-head prediction: Brisbane Broncos Women.

Betting tip: SGM – Kerri Johnson, Julia Robinson & Tamika Upton anytime try scorers.

Gold Coast Titans Women vs Parramatta Eels Women Prediction

Sunday, August 31, 6:15pm AEST – Cbus Super Stadium

The final game of NRLW round 9 sees the Gold Coast Titans welcome the Parramatta Eels to Cbus Super Stadium on Sunday night.

Tipped for a potential top four finish early on this season, the Eels have gone belly up and are on their way to missing the finals altogether now.

Their second half capitulation against the Chooks last start that saw them ship 44 points in the second stanza after entering the sheds locked at 12-12 now has them languishing in 8th.

With their finals fate in their own hands after their win last week and playing at home here, we’re tipping the Titans to put another nail in the coffin of Parramatta’s fading finals aspirations.

Head-to-head prediction: Gold Coast Titans Women.

Betting tip: Under total match points.

NRLW Premiership Odds 2025
