No game in the NRLW had under 30 points last week. It was simply raining tries as the established and rising stars of the women’s game flexed their attacking muscle.

Footy fans will no doubt be hoping for more of the same in NRLW round 3. There’s a good chance they’ll get their wish, with a number of massive games on the schedule this weekend.

NRLW round 3 is set to be headlined by a huge Queensland derby between the table-topping Titans and Brisbane’s finest the Broncos, while the Raider and Sharks game is nearly a coin flip.

For the latest news, analysis, odds, and betting advice for these two games, as well as the rest, check out our NRLW round 3 tips and predictions below.

Sydney Roosters Women vs Wests Tigers Women Prediction

Saturday, August 10, 11:00am AEST – Industree Group Stadium

Kicking off NRLW round 3 are the Sydney Rooster and the Wests Tigers. The Chooks notched their first win of the new campaign last week, while the Tigers will have to wait at least another week for theirs.

In the Roosters win, as predicted, strike centre Jess Sergis did her thing and ran riot against the Broncos. She scored two tries, one of which was a classic coast-to-coast effort.

It’s clear that she’s going to feature prominently in these tips and predictions this season and this week is no exception. Look to her and her teammates to have a day out here.

Betting tip: Jessca Sergis anytime try scorer.

Canberra Raiders Women vs Cronulla Sharks Women Prediction

Saturday, August 10, 12:45pm AEST – GIO Stadium

The Raiders were unlucky not to knock off Premiership favourites Newcastle last week after racing to a two try lead inside six minutes.

They were ultimately reeled in by the Novocastrians but will get another chance to knock off another heavyweight when they face the undefeated Cronulla Sharks in NRLW round 3.

The H2H odds have this one at nearly a coin flip, but the form of Canberra standoff and captain Zahara Temara (which has her atop of the Dally M leaderboard) is electric enough to get the Green Machine home here.

Head-to-head prediction: Canberra Raiders Women.

Betting tip: Zahara Temara anytime try scorer.

North Queensland Cowboys Women vs Parramatta Eels Women Prediction

Sunday, August 11, 12:00pm AEST – Totally Workwear Stadium

The first game of an NRLW double-header at Brisbane’s Totally Workwear Stadium, sees the Cowboys play the Eels in what should be an entertaining encounter.

North Queensland went from scoring zero tries in their opening game to scoring seven last week, as they saw off the Dragons in a 38-34 thriller.

Would be wooden spooners Parramatta have already shown they have enough quality to stay well away from the foot of the table after winning in round one and only just going down to Cronulla last week.

Do they have enough quality to get the chocolates here? We think so, with North Queensland’s defensive frailties just waiting to be exposed by the likes of Rory Owen, Kennedy Cherrington and co.

Head-to-head prediction: Parramatta Eels Women.

Betting tip: Rory Owen first try scorer.

Brisbane Broncos Women vs Gold Coast Titans Women Prediction

Sunday, August 11, 1:45pm AEST – Totally Workwear Stadium

The headline match of NRLW round 3 is a classic M1 Derby between the Brisbane Broncos and the Gold Coast Titans.

It only takes a fortnight for fortunes to change, and the Titans have now replaced their Sunshine State rivals as one of the premiership favourites.

The Titans are top with the likes of Jamie Chapman and Evania Pelite simply running riot in 2024.

The Broncos stocks have dwindled after their winless start and we’re predicting them to dwindle even further at full-time of this one.

Head-to-head prediction: Gold Coast Titans Women.

Betting tip: Jamie Chapman to score two or more tries.

Newcastle Knights Women vs St George Illawarra Dragons Women Prediction

Sunday, August 11, 6:10pm AEST – McDonald Jones Stadium

NRLW round 3 wraps with the undefeated Newcastle Knights welcoming the currently winless Dragons to McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday night.

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out which way our tip is going to lean here, but the Dragons have not been as poor as their win-loss record may lead people to believe.

They scored 34 points last week against the Cowboys, yet still somehow lost, and were brave in their opening round defeat to the Titans.

We’re tipping them to push the Knights here but continue their unfortunate trend of falling just short in season 2024.

Head-to-head prediction: Newcastle Knights Women.

Betting tip: St George Line.
