The Newcastle Knights will edge closer to cementing a top eight spot with a win over the Gold Coast Titans at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday afternoon. 

The Knights got the job done in a pulsating 30-24 victory over the Raiders in the nation’s capital last Sunday. 

The result places them four points ahead of the ninth-placed Bulldogs entering Round 24 with three matches to play and within touching distance of the top four. 

Meanwhile, the Titans have suffered consecutive defeats, most recently going down 30-8 to the Cowboys last Thursday. 

Pasami Saulo comes in to replace the injured Brodie Jones for the Knights. Bradman Best and Phoenix Crossland are back after missing the Canberra victory. 

Bodhi Sharpley has been named on the Titans' interchange for a potential NRL debut. AJ Brimson shifts back to the centres as Lachlan Ilias is named to start at halfback and Jaylan De Groot drops to the bench.
