Parramatta Eels vs Wests Tigers Prediction – Round 5 2026

02/04/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Parramatta Eels will host the Wests Tigers at CommBank Stadium on Easter Monday to close out Round 5.

The Tigers roll into this game riding a wave of early-season momentum, sitting comfortably near the top of the table.

Conversely, the Eels are desperately searching for consistency after a rocky opening month. They simply cannot afford to leak points at their current rate if they want to compete with the top-tier teams.

Their recent performances have shown flashes of brilliant attacking football, but these moments are often overshadowed by defensive lapses.

On the other side of the field, the Wests Tigers have been one of the biggest surprise packages of the early season.

Sitting proudly in 3rd place on the ladder, they have won two of their first three games and boast a highly impressive +42-point differential.

So, who will take home the chocolates in this Easter Monday special? Let’s find out! For the latest news, odds and analysis ahead of the final game of NRL Round 5, check out our Eels vs Tigers tips and predictions below.

Eels vs Tigers Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The final game of NRL Round 5 sees the Parramatta Eels and the Wests Tigers take to the field on Easter Monday.

Just like the good old days, fans get to tune in and enjoy some footy to start their week.

In terms of the result here, despite them being favourites (at the time of writing) back Parramatta with caution.

The injuries are really starting to stack up for the Eels, with Iongi and Doorey joining Hopgood in the infirmary, thanks to a bruising loss to Penrith last week.

The Tigers have no such troubles (for once) and believe it or not, find themselves third on the ladder.

Their 18-point win over the previously undefeated Warriors in New Zealand last week was the definition of a statement win and with every passing week, Benji Marshall is making believers out of us here at The Huddle.

Betting tip: Wests Tigers.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Who doesn’t love sticking it to their former employers? Josh Addo-Carr started his career at the Tigers and loves playing at this ground.

He has scored at least one try in each of Parramatta's last six matches at CommBank Stadium, so look to him to unwrap the first of the easter eggs and cross for the opening try in this one.

Betting tip: Josh Addo-Carr.

Over/Under Prediction

Nine of the Wests Tigers' last 10 matches at CommBank Stadium have gone under the total match points line.

Betting tip: Under (49.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

The Wests Tigers have covered the line in four of their last five matches as underdogs.

Betting tip: Tigers (+1.5) line.
