Canterbury Bulldogs vs Canberra Raiders Prediction – Round 19 2026

09/07/2026|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Canterbury Bulldogs will host the Canberra Raiders at Accor Stadium on Saturday night as they look to keep their finals hopes alive.

Fresh from a bye, the Bulldogs’ most recent outing was a 30-12 victory over the Titans in Round 17, extending their winning streak to three matches and moving them back into finals contention.

The Raiders, too, enjoyed a bye last week, meaning they last played in a 24-16 win over the Dragons.

Despite that result, last year's minor premiers appear too far back to challenge for a top eight berth after a disappointing season.

Cameron Ciraldo’s starters are unchanged; with Jacob Preston listed among the reserves. Ricky Stuart has named Hudson Young and Ethan Strange to back up after Origin, while Noah Martin is set to return to the forward pack.

Josh Papalii and Daine Laurie are back on the interchange. The Bulldogs defeated the Raiders 14-10 earlier this season.

Bulldogs vs Raiders Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Bulldogs are riding a wave of momentum after a string of wins that has put a genuine finals tilt back on the table, while the Raiders remain stranded in the bottom half of the ladder on just 16.

Stephen Crichton’s move to five-eighth seems to have proved a winner, with him running the show in their 13-12 win over the Sea Eagles a fortnight ago. But Crichton has looked to be struggling with niggling injuries all year; we’re tipping he’s unlikely to back up after Origin 3.

Despite being close to mathematically impossible, we're not ready to write off last year's minor premiers just yet. Running an eye over their lineup, they’ve got firepower across the field and Ricky’s men don’t give up easily.

Between Kaeo Weeks, Seb Kris, Matt Timoko and Xavier Savage - this Raiders side has points in them; probably more than the Dogs.

We're backing the Green Machine to make a statement here, with a snubbed Ethan Strange the man to lead the charge.

Betting tip: Canberra Raiders.

First Try Scorer Prediction

The Bulldogs have a leak, a big one and we’re tipping Canberra to exploit it, early. In six of Canterbury's last seven matches, the opposition's starting left wing has scored at least one try.

They are clearly extremely vulnerable down that side and a player with the pace and panache of Canberra speedster Xavier Savage should be able to capitalise on that deficiency in double quick time.

Betting tip: Xavier Savage

Over/Under Prediction

Each of Canterbury's last four matches have gone under the total match points line.

Betting tip: Under (45.5) total match points

Line Prediction

Canberra has covered the line in each of their last five matches at Accor Stadium.

Betting tip: Raiders (+4.5) line.
