Brisbane Broncos Women vs Sydney Roosters Prediction – NRLW Round 7 2026

11/08/2026|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The two best teams in the NRLW meet again and this time, the Broncos have everything to prove on home turf.

Brisbane and Sydney Roosters squared off in the 2025 NRLW Grand Final just ten months ago, with the Broncos claiming a 22–18 victory to lift the trophy.

Fast forward to Round 7 of the 2026 NRLW season, and the Roosters sit atop the ladder with a flawless 6-from-6 record, with the Broncos just behind them in second.

There’s more than just pride and potential Grand Final revenge on the line here. With these two sides occupying the top two places on the ladder, the result of this match could go a long way to deciding who will be this season’s minor premiers.

For the latest analysis, news and betting tips ahead of this top of the table clash, check out our Brisbane Broncos Women vs Sydney Roosters tips and predictions below.

Broncos Women vs Roosters Women Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Roosters are favourites in the H2H market, and it's hard to argue with the numbers.

Sydney have won all six of their 2026 matches, averaging 33 points per game while conceding just 10. Their tackle efficiency sits at 89.5%, the best in the competition, and they've outscored opponents by an average of 23 points per game this season.

Brisbane’s home record at Suncorp their biggest selling point here. The head-to-head history between these two teams also leans Brisbane's way overall (7 wins from 12).

However, Brisbane were stunned 28–4 by the Raiders last week, one of the upsets of the season, and they go into this one without Ali Brigginshaw (suspended until Round 9), Julia Robinson (knee, TBC), and Jada Ferguson (head knock, TBC).

The Roosters, by contrast, ran over the Eels 46–6 with Jocelyn Kelleher (quad, TBC) among the only injury concerns.

Brisbane's home ground advantage could narrow the gap, but their current injury toll is severe.  A depleted Broncos side without their most influential player in Brigginshaw is a very different proposition, even at Suncorp and Sydney's form is too strong to ignore for us.

First Try Scorer Prediction

When looking for a first try scorer pick here, it’s hard to go past one of the Roosters deadly duo of Jayme Fressard and Jessica Sergis.

Both currently top the NRLW try scoring charts for 2026 with eight and seven meat pies respectively.

We’re actually going to go with Sergis here who is a know try scorer in massive matches such as Origin deciders.

This clash has a real rep feel to it and that’s when players of Sergis calibre and experience usually stand up and show their quality, so look to her to set the tone early for the Tricolours as they go looking for some Grand Final revenge.

Betting tip: Jessica Sergis.

Over/Under Prediction

Both sides are averaging well above the 39.5-point total match line. The Broncos are averaging 30 points scored per game; the Roosters are averaging 33. Combined, that's 63 points per game on average, comfortably above the line.

That said, when these two teams meet, defence tends to tighten. Their 2025 Grand Final finished 22–18 (40 points).

Fine weather removes the uncertainty of handling errors in wet conditions, which typically supports higher scoring. Both sides also concede more than their averages suggest when facing top-tier opposition. On balance, the weight of evidence points over but only just.

Betting tip: Over (39.5) total match points

Line Prediction

The Roosters are giving 4.5 points, which means they need to win by 5 or more for the line to hit.

That's a meaningful margin when you're playing away from home against the reigning premiers.

Brisbane's Suncorp record (71% win rate) makes them a tougher proposition at home, and the Broncos have won 4 of their last 5 matches. They're not a team that rolls over easily.

Looking at the 2025 Grand Final (a 22–18 Broncos win), a 4-point margin or less has been the norm in recent H2H results.

Given Sydney's superior form but the Broncos' home advantage, this one is likely to be close. For us, Brisbane +4.5 represents strong value.

Betting tip: Broncos (+4.5) line
