Gold Coast Titans Women vs St George Dragons Women Prediction

Saturday, August 15, 12:45pm AEST – Cbus Super Stadium 

The Titans the Dragons open proceedings in NRLW Round 7 on the beautiful Gold Coast.

The Titans head into this one on the back of five consecutive wins, most recently dismantling the Sharks 24–10. It's a purple patch that has them firmly in finals contention. 

The Dragons, by contrast, remain under pressure after falling to the Tigers 16–12 in Round 6, a result that highlighted their defensive fragility. 

Gold Coast will be without Sarina Masaga and Enah Desic (both concussion protocols), but their depth should absorb those losses against a Dragons side low on confidence and the ladder.

Parramatta Eels Women vs Canterbury Bulldogs Women Prediction

Saturday, August 15, 3:15pm AEST – CommBank Stadium

Parramatta were thoroughly outclassed last week, going down 46–6 to the table-topping Roosters in a performance that will have the coaching staff deeply concerned. 

Their injury list makes matters worse heading into this NRLW Round 7 match against traditional rivals the Bulldogs.

Rachael Pearson and Martha Mataele are out (concussion), Ryvrr-Lee Alo, Chloe Jackson, and Abbi Church are all in doubt. 

Canterbury, meanwhile, beat the Cowboys 28–26 in a thriller, with the emerging Tamika Jones continuing to prove herself as a key weapon in the Bulldogs' finals push.

With Parramatta's roster depleted and confidence shaken after last week's hammering, the Bulldogs are well-positioned to get the chocolates here in our opinion.

Brisbane Broncos Women vs Sydney Roosters Women Prediction

Saturday, August 15, 5:15pm AEST – Suncorp Stadium

The one you’re all waiting for, and easily the match of the weekend. NRLW Round 7 features a rematch of last season’s grand final between the Brisbane Broncos and the Sydney Roosters and the context couldn't be more dramatic. 

Brisbane were stunned 28–4 by the Raiders last week, one of the upsets of the season, and they go into this one without Ali Brigginshaw (suspended until Round 9), Julia Robinson (knee, TBC), and Jada Ferguson (head knock, TBC). 

The Roosters, by contrast, are surging. The Roosters ran over the Eels 46-6, with Jocelyn Kelleher (quad, TBC) among the only injury concerns. 

Brisbane's home ground advantage could narrow the gap, but their current injury toll is severe.  A depleted Broncos side without their most influential player in Brigginshaw is a very different proposition, even at Suncorp and Sydney's form is too strong to ignore for us.

Newcastle Knights Women vs Canberra Raiders Women Prediction

Sunday, August 16, 11:50am AEST – McDonald Jones Stadium

Canberra produced the shock of the season last week, dismantling Brisbane 28–4 in a performance that turned the competition on its head. Their attack looked sharp and their defensive intensity was outstanding. 

Newcastle, on the other hand, fell 22–14 to the Warriors last week and will be without Tayla Predebon (suspended until Round 8), which weakens their outside threat considerably. 

The Raiders arrive at McDonald Jones full of confidence, while the Knights are under pressure to arrest a slide.

The momentum coming out of their Broncos upset is real, and Newcastle's suspension concerns give Canberra an additional edge in what should be a competitive contest.

Wests Tigers Women vs New Zealand Warriors Women Prediction

Sunday, August 16, 1:45pm AEST – CommBank Stadium

The Tigers claimed a gritty 16–12 win over the Dragons last week, with Georgia McGregor proving influential in the halves. 

However, Holli Wheeler's NRLW Round 7 suspension is a real blow as she's been one of their more consistent performers this season. 

The Warriors also had a solid outing, knocking over Newcastle 22–14 and showing they can execute a clear game plan. This one shapes up as tighter than the ladder positions might suggest. 

A bit of a coin flip in our eyes, so we’re consulting the H2H odds and at the time of writing they favour the Warriors to win a thriller.

North Queensland Cowboys Women vs Cronulla Sharks Women Prediction

Sunday, August 16, 6:15pm AEST – Queensland Country Bank Stadium

NRLW Round 7 closes out with a contest between two teams that struggled to just that – close out games. 

Last week, the Cowboys were pipped 28–26 by Canterbury in a narrow loss, with Emma Manzelmann's ankle injury (TBC) potentially complicating selection. 

Elsewhere, Cronulla went down 24–10 to the Titans and head into this match without Chantay Kiria-Ratu (ankle, Rounds 7–8) and Georgia Ravics (calf, TBC). 

Home ground advantage could prove decisive here, with Queensland Country Bank Stadium providing the Cowboys with a real edge.
