NRL Injury News Summary – Round 18:

- Sea Eagles five-eighth Luke Brooks is set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines after suffering a suspected ACL injury against the Storm.

- Dolphins’ halfback Isaiya Katoa has been booked in for surgery after scans revealed a fractured wrist sustained against the Warriors.

- Melbourne lost three players in the same clash as Manly, with Ativalu Lisati likely facing season-ending syndesmosis surgery.

- Roosters star Angus Crichton faces an extended absence, while Latrell Mitchell's return has been pushed back another month.

Brooks Blow Headlines Sea Eagles Heartbreak

Manly's playmaking stocks have taken a brutal hit, with Luke Brooks suffering a suspected ACL rupture during Saturday night's loss to the Storm.

The veteran No.6 fell awkwardly in a 27th-minute tackle by Trent Toelau but, in a remarkable display of toughness, played out the half before being subbed for rookie Joey Walsh.

"It is absolutely devastating for Luke, we are all shattered for him," coach Kieran Foran said. "The medical staff said the fact he was able to play was quite incredible. They said it would have been incredibly painful."

Manly will await scans for official confirmation, but the early signs point to a long road back.

Storm Lose Big On and Off the Park

Not only did Craig Bellamy's side lose heavily to Manly, they also lost plenty of troops in the process.

Back-rower Ativalu Lisati copped a syndesmosis injury from a hip-drop tackle by Walsh and is expected to require season-ending surgery.

Centres Joe Chan (back spasms) and Moses Leo (concussion) were also forced from the field after a mistimed tackle on Haumole Olakau'atu.

Melbourne were already without halfback Jahrome Hughes (low-grade hamstring strain) and Jack Howarth (quad contusion) for the trip to 4 Pines Park.

Dolphins, Warriors and Tigers Hit Hard

Dolphins’ fans are bracing for bad news around Isaiya Katoa, with scans confirming a fracture to the halfback's wrist rather than the initially suspected dislocation. Surgery will provide a clearer return timeline.

The Warriors lost winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak to a hamstring concern, while prop Jackson Ford is sidelined for 10-12 weeks with a torn pectoral.

Wests Tigers centre Taylan May dislocated his shoulder for the third time this season against the Knights and could now require surgery to remedy the recurring issue.

Roosters, Rabbitohs and Broncos All Stung

Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson confirmed Kangaroos back-rower Angus Crichton faces a significant spell out.

"It won't be a week or two," Robinson said, with Crichton seeing a specialist on Tuesday. Lindsay Collins also failed a HIA, throwing his Origin decider availability into doubt.

South Sydney superstar Latrell Mitchell has suffered a calf injury at training and faces another month sidelined, compounding his ongoing back issues. Ed Kosi (quad cork) and Jye Gray (jaw) added further headaches for Wayne Bennett.

Brisbane's Xavier Willison failed a HIA against the Roosters, while Aublix Tawha was placed in a moon boot post-game following a tackle that saw Nat Butcher placed on report for a hip-drop.
