NRL Injury News Summary – Round 13:

- Rabbitohs duo Adam Elliott (knee) and debutant Talanoa Penitani (hamstring) failed to finish Sunday's clash in North Queensland, adding to Souths' lengthy injury list.

- Warriors’ halfback Tanah Boyd is done for the season after rupturing his ACL during Magic Round, while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck copped another knee setback against the Dragons.

- Bulldogs back-rower Jacob Preston will spend weeks on the sidelines with a broken arm suffered against the Storm, with Connor Tracey also a late scratching.

- Broncos eye a double boost in Round 13, with Payne Haas and Brendan Piakura tracking towards returns against the Dragons.

Rabbitohs and Warriors Cop Heavy Blows

South Sydney's horror run with injuries continued in North Queensland, with veteran Adam Elliott helped from the field with a knee complaint after only just returning from a calf issue that wiped out the opening two months of his season.

Rookie Talanoa Penitani — brother of NRLW stars Tiana and Natasha — also pulled up sore with a hamstring strain while chasing his third try on debut.

Across the Tasman, the Warriors are sweating on Roger Tuivasa-Sheck after the outside back lasted just 11 minutes on return from a shoulder injury before limping off with a knee concern at Kogarah.

Bench forward Eddie Ieremia-Toeava also failed his HIA. Worse still, halfback Tanah Boyd has been ruled out for the remainder of 2026 with a ruptured ACL sustained during Magic Round against the Broncos.

Bulldogs, Storm and Dragons Add to Injury Toll

The Bulldogs will be without barnstorming back-rower Jacob Preston for several weeks after he broke his arm against Melbourne, with Connor Tracey (hamstring) also a late withdrawal.

Jacob Kiraz slotted in at fullback on return from a knee injury. Storm second-rower Shawn Blore subsequently failed a HIA in the same fixture.

St George Illawarra's casualty list keeps growing, with Jaydn Su'A (calf) ruled out pre-game and Hayden Buchanan succumbing to a recurring shoulder issue.

Coach Dean Young confirmed Buchanan's shoulder had been "popping in and out" for weeks.

At 4 Pines Park, both Manly's Ben Trbojevic and Titans youngster Oliver Pascoe were ruled out with Category One head knocks.

Broncos and Roosters Updates

There's brighter news at Red Hill, with the Broncos set for a double lift in Round 13 as Payne Haas (knee) and Brendan Piakura (LCL/hamstring) close in on returns for the Dragons clash.

Jordan Riki, however, is heading under the knife to address ongoing plantar fascia discomfort in his foot.

The Roosters are nursing fresh concerns over winger Daniel Tupou, who exited the Cowboys clash in the seventh minute with a confirmed left calf strain. Cody Ramsey also entered concussion protocols after failing his HIA.

Wests Tigers Fear May Season Over

Wests Tigers centre Taylan May faces a potentially season-ending shoulder injury following the loss to Manly.

"It's not good for Taylan. I think it is dislocated, so again, he'll have to get a scan, but it could be season-ending," coach Benji Marshall conceded.
