Christopher Nolan’s epic biopic about the father of the atomic bomb, Robert J. Oppenheimer, is all but a lock for Best Picture.
A critical and commercial smash, it also won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama, which is usually a sign of things to come.

In recent weeks a photo from Lily Gladstone’s yearbook has been going viral. It has her listed as “the most likely to win an Academy Award.”
As the overwhelming favourite for this category, that prophecy could very well come to fruition on Monday. Gladstone was beyond superb in Scorsese’ western epic Killers of the Flower Moon. If she does win, she’ll make history as the first ever Indigenous American actress to take home the Oscar in this category.
