The NFL is going international once again in Week 3.

While Australia enjoyed the Week 1 match-up between LA Rams and San Francisco 49ers, this time it’s Brazil’s chance to get a taste of the action, as the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens head there.

The two franchises will play at the Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, otherwise known as the Maracanã. The game will be played on Monday, September 28, with kick-off at 06:25 AEST.

The two sides will enter the third game of the NFL regular season with identical 1-1 records.

The Dallas Cowboys have already played two NFC East divisional games, losing to the New York Giants (28-20) before getting to winning ways against the Washington Commanders (37-20) last week.

It’s the other way round for the Baltimore Ravens, who started with a win against the Indianapolis Colts (41-23) before losing last weekend to the New Orleans Saints (24-17) by a touchdown.

This game will see two of the top quarterbacks battle it out in Rio de Janeiro – and both are in fairly similar form.

Dak Prescott has thrown for 454 total yards, six touchdowns and one interception, completing 73.8% of his pass attempts for the Cowboys.

Lamar Jackson has 559 total yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, with a 67.9% pass completion percentage.

He has rushed for 74 yards on 11 carries and one touchdown, while Prescott has relied much more on his arm, with only six carries for 40 yards.

With Jackson and Derrick Henry both running hard, it is worth checking the NFL rushing props market before kick-off.

Derrick Henry is one of the league’s leaders in touchdowns, with four in the first two games for the Ravens. CeeDee Lamb has three receiving touchdowns for Dallas, while Jake Ferguson has two.

Betting Markets to Watch

The latest NFL betting odds have the Ravens as the early favourites, as they look the more dominant team across the first two weeks. They also have a good record against the Cowboys, having won three of the last four meetings.

The last two went to Baltimore, with wins of 28-25 (2024) and a convincing 34-17 win in 2020. The two teams have near-identical points tallies. Baltimore have put up 58 and given up 47; Dallas have put up 57 and given up 48.

This would suggest we could have a high-scoring game in Rio. The total points market is implying the Under, but we think the Over has potential, as both will want to put on a show in the first game played in South America, with both offences in scoring form.

We don’t think the margin of victory will be by more than two touchdowns, leaving us to believe there is value in the ‘Baltimore Ravens by 1-13 Pts’ in the Big Win Little Win market.

You’ll find long shot value in the Baltimore Ravens to score in every quarter. In eight quarters they have played so far, they’ve only failed to score in two (one in each game).

With an offence that has Jackson wanting to put together a strong performance after an INT on his last drive against the Saints, there could be a chip on his shoulder.

The Cowboys defence hasn’t been at its best either, and could be exposed once again here.
