NBL Tips & Predictions – Round 10

26/11/2024|SB Staff|NBL Tips & Predictions

Woah! We’re halfway there. NBL round 10 marks the halfway point of the 2024-25 season and while some sides are sitting pretty, others are already living on a prayer.

Last year’s beaten finalist Melbourne United are on the road to redemption, sitting comfortably clear in first.

Meanwhile the team that defeated them to secure the 2023-24 NBL crown, the Tasmania JackJumpers are inexplicably languishing in second-last.

Can they turn their fortunes around and cut a path through the thicket and into the Play-Ins before it’s too late?

What about the rest of the competition? How are they faring? Let’s find out. For the latest NBL news, analysis and odds, check out our round 10 NBL tips and predictions below.

Illawarra Hawks vs New Zealand Breakers Prediction

Thursday, November 28, 7:30pm AEDT – WIN Entertainment Centre

NBL round 10 gets off to a scintillating start with a heavyweight showdown between Illawarra and New Zealand.

It’s second vs third with very little to separate these two sides. Home court advantage is the biggest differential we can find here, so we’re backing the Hawks in an absolute thriller to start round 10.

Betting tip: Illawarra Hawks.

Cairns Taipans vs Sydney Kings Prediction

Friday, November 29, 7:30pm AEDT – Cairns Convention Centre

There hasn’t been much for Cairns to celebrate in NBL season 2024-25, with the North Queensland club languishing in last.

Their round 10 opponents Sydney seem to be a solid Play-Ins level side this season and should have far too much quality for the timid Taipans

Betting tip: Sydney Kings.

Perth Wildcats vs Brisbane Bullets Prediction

Friday, November 29, 9:30pm AEDT – RAC Arena

These two sides met just last week, and it was a record-breaking affair. Bullets big man James Batemon broke Brisbane’s record for the most points scored in a single game in the 40-minute era.

He drained nine threes and finished on 51 as his side saw off Perth. Time to run it back? Maybe not to that extent, but we’re still backing Brisbane and Batemon to be on the winners list come full-time of this one.

Betting tip: Brisbane Bullets.

S.E Melbourne Phoenix vs Illawarra Hawks Prediction

Saturday, November 30, 5:30pm AEDT – John Cain Arena

How the Hawks pull up from their game against New Zealand earlier in round 10 will obviously have a large say in the outcome of this one.

Providing they make it through that game unscathed, Illawarra are easy tips here against a Phoenix side who are yet to really get going in NBL season 2024-25.

Betting tip: Illawarra Hawks.

Adelaide 36ers vs Tasmania JackJumpers Prediction

Saturday, November 30, 8:00pm AEDT – Adelaide Entertainment Centre

After giving Melbourne United a good go last week, the 36ers will be hoping to turn their hustle into competition points as they welcome defending champs Tasmania to the City of Churches.

As for the JackJumpers, their title defence is quickly getting away from them, but two wins in their last two have them dreaming of a Play-Ins berth.

It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish, and Tassie are the champs for a reason. We’re tipping them to make it three from three and spring an unlikely upset on Adelaide to continue their charge up the standings.

Betting tip: Tasmania JackJumpers.

Melbourne United vs Sydney Kings Prediction

Sunday, December 1, 2:30pm AEDT – John Cain Arena

Until we see anything other than basketball excellence from Melbourne United, we won’t be betting against them.

This sentiment is reinforced even further when they turn out at home, as they will do in round 10 against the Kings.

Betting tip: Melbourne United.

Perth Wildcats vs New Zealand Breakers Prediction

Sunday, December 11, 4:30pm AEDT – RAC Arena

It has to be one of the biggest road trips in world basketball. New Zealand are off to Perth to close NBL round 10 and hopefully they won’t be jet lagged when they take to centre court.

Despite the long commute, they should be able to return home with the points as the Wildcats form has been rather inconsistent so far this season.

Betting tip: New Zealand Breakers.

NBL 2024-25 Championship Odds
