Race 2 (1.15 pm) Maiden Plate (1103m)

Midnight Hustle makes his debut in a competitive maiden. He has had four jump-outs at Cranbourne for three wins and a second – and that second was behind the classy Nadal. Jockey Carleen Hefel knows him well and he’s drawn to get the gun run.

Racing Tip: Midnight Hustle

Race 3 (1.50 pm) Maiden Plate (1454m)

Price and Kent have found the right race to kick off Supremacy’s second race campaign. He was excellent when finishing off strongly on debut at Echuca before a break. He’s had three jump-outs at Cranbourne to get him ready for this. Blinkers first time is an important gear addition.

Racing Tip: Supremacy

Race 7 (4.10 pm) Benchmark 78 (1203m)

There was a lot to like about Overactive’s first-up second at Geelong behind Barber. Settled back and ran on strongly in the Dual Choice Plate. Likes firm going and will appreciate a likely strong tempo in this.

Racing Tip: Overactive

Race 8 (4.45 pm) Kyneton Cup (2006m)

Mankayan looks to have come back to racing in good form for trainer Ciaron Maher. His last start fourth behind Kingswood in the Coongy Stakes (2000m) at Caulfield was a sign that he’s ready to win. This is weaker.

Racing Tip: Mankayan

Grafton Racing Tips

Track rated Good on Monday. Rail true.

Grafton Racecourse Track Overview

Grafton Racecourse, found in the hometown of the famous Grafton jacaranda festival, but don’t worry they know how to bring some festive flair to race meets. Discover Grafton race tips at this historic racecourse, backed by Australia’s leading horse racing experts.

Race 2 (2.50 pm) Maiden Handicap (1000m)

Seymour Stars makes her debut for the Grisedales. Impressive trial winner at Grafton on October 22 when she bounced out of the gates and led clearly. She was kept going strongly to win in fast time. Drawn to lead and she will take catching.

Racing Tip: Seymour Stars

Race 3 (3.25 pm) Super Maiden (1200m)

Brisbane trainer Matthew Hoysted comes south looking for a suitable race for Cantankerous to win his maiden. Solid debut at the Sunshine Coast and then moderate when in the market at Doomben. Drops in grade.

Racing Tip: Cantankerous

Race 7 (5.45 pm) Benchmark 58 Handicap (1600m)

Maurizma is a winner on this track and she should be at her peak after three runs from a spell. Drawn to get a good run. Bet win and place.

Racing Tip: Maurizma
