Race 1 (1.10 pm) Maiden Plate (2000m)
Yianni was “specked” at long odds and ran well on debut at Mornington (1500m). He was restrained early, and at one stage was giving the leaders 15 lengths start. The gelding made good ground to finish fifth in a leader-dominated race. He gets to 2000m. Expect him to run well. Bet win and place.

Hawkins showed he has a future with a good debut fifth at Sale (1400m), running on strongly from well back. Better for it and gets out to 1600m.

Divino Cavallo was sent to Adelaide for her debut and, at $2.30 fav, she cruised home for an easy win at Morphettville (1050m) on October 26. She looks the best of the day.

Kaluakoi followed a good on-pace second at Bendigo (1600m) with an easy maiden win at Ballarat (1600m) on Nov 4 when he led throughout. Likely to bounce on the “bunny” and be hard to catch.

Autumn Storm is a promising horse. With a clear run he would have been in the finish instead of finishing eighth behind Alma Rise at Flemington (2000m) on Oaks day. Drawn barrier one, and this suits.
