
<p>Champion Mr Brightside has been cleared for take off to Hong Kong on Monday.</p>
<p>The nine-time Group 1 winner, entered for the Champions Mile (1600m) at Sha Tin on April 27, completed a final jumpout at Flemington on Friday and cleared subsequent pre-export veterinary checks to officially stamp travel papers.</p>
<p>Lindsay Park trainer Ben Hayes said Mr Brightside has "ticked all the boxes".</p>
<p>"We're very happy, they did the trot up to travel and he passed with flying colours," Hayes said.</p>
<p>Mr Brightside won the 800m jumpout under champion jockey Craig Williams.</p>
<p>"Craig let him extend to the line today, he was very good, he jumped, went to the line nicely and won the jumpout.</p>
<p>"It was just another good stepping stone to head towards his grand final over in Hong Kong.</p>
<p>"Craig was very happy with him, he's ridden him in all his jumpouts, so we're very happy to have a go."</p>
<p>Mr Brightside is second favourite for the Champions Mile behind only dominant Hong Kong middle distance star Voyage Bubble.</p>
<p>Royal Patronage, trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, is also making the trip to Hong Kong.</p>
