<p>Boom colt Beadman, the sensational winner of the Ken Russell Memorial Classic, won't race again this season.</p> <p>Henry Field, the Newgate Farm supremo and part-owner of Beadman, confirmed the brilliant two-year-old will be spelled immediately rather than stay in training for either of Eagle Farm's feature juvenile races, the Group 2 $1 million BRC Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) on May 31 and the Group 1 $1 million JJ Atkins (1600m) two weeks later.</p> <p>After the Peter Snowden-trained Beadman raced away to win by more than eight lengths at the Gold Coast last Saturday, he was promoted to outright favourite for the Sires.</p> <p>Newgate has an Everest slot but Field admitted it was too early to select Beadman as their Everest starter.</p> <p>"With these early season three-year-olds, I never lock one in for The Everest until I see how they are going in the spring,'' Fields said.</p> <p>"But if Beadman was to win the Golden Rose then you would be foolish not to run him in The Everest.''</p> <p>Field said consideration was given to extending Beadman's two-year-old campaign to include the Brisbane winter carnival before a consensus was reached to send the inexperienced young sprinter to the spelling paddock.</p> <p>"There are a few reasons we have decided to spell Beadman,'' Field said. "He's on his first preparation because he got quite crook as a yearling.</p> <p>"He is basically three preparations behind most other two-year-olds so what he has shown so far is really on raw ability and is very exciting.</p> <p>"Plus, Peter thinks this colt is the real deal so we want to give him a decent spell now then target the Golden Rose and the Coolmore Stakes.</p> <p>"If he was to win the Golden Rose, then of course we will look at The Everest.''</p>
