2025 US Women’s Open Championship Prediction

29/05/2025|SB Staff|Golf Tips & Predictions

It’s the second major of the LPGA Tour schedule… and historically the toughest of them all.

Who will conquer Erin Hills and win the US Women’s Open Championship? Find out when the action gets underway on May 30, with the final round concluding on June 2.

US Women’s Open Championship Betting Preview

The last time that this week’s host venue, Erin Hills, was seen in competitive golf was the men’s US Open in 2017 when Brooks Koepka landed the title with a score of -16 – the joint-lowest winning score in the tournament’s history.

And so the players can expect something of an easier ride this week than what the USGA usually has in store for them at the US Open.

Nine different players have landed the last ten editions of the US Women’s Open, while at the first major of the year, the Chevron Championship, Mao Saigo won her first-ever LPGA Tour title as a $75.00 chance.

US Women’s Open Championship Betting Odds

The world number two and recent Americas Open winner, Jeeno Thitikul, headlines the US Women’s Open Championship betting odds at $9.00.

She’s closely followed by the world number one, Nelly Korda, at $10.00, while Haeran Ryu, the Black Desert Championship winner earlier in May, is $15.00.

Former major champion Ruoning Yin ($17.00), 15-time LPGA Tour event winner Ko Jin-young ($21.00), and Ford Championship victor Hyo Joo Kim ($26.00) are among the other contenders attracting interest in the market.

US Women’s Open Championship Betting Picks

Given her current form, Jeeno Thitikul is a worthy favourite this week. But she’s yet to break her major duck – in fact, she’s never finished inside the top three, so relatively short prices don’t hold much appeal.

Nelly Korda, meanwhile, is world-class and yet inconsistent: in 2024, she won the Chevron Championship, finished second at the British Open, and yet, missed two other major cuts.

In theory, Hae Ran Ryu should give her backers a decent run for their money at $15.00. She’s finished inside the top ten at four of the last six majors, and her victory at the Black Desert Championship earlier this month sets the Korean up perfectly.

Those interested in longer odds chances may be swayed by A-Lim Kim, who boasts the dual perk of being a former US Open champion and a winner on the LPGA TOUR this season.

Punters can get $51.00 outright or $2.70 for a top 20 finish.

How about the world number six at $81.00? Since the start of 2023, Lilia Vu has won two majors and finished second in two more.

She’s not had the best of seasons, but can you write off a player who finished second at the Ford Championship as recently as March? A top-20 finish for Vu could be an option at $3.60.

*Odds correct as 12:00 pm AEST 29/5/25
