At 45 years old, Paul Gallen swore he was done with boxing. Turns out, No Limit were able to find enough cash to bring the G-Train back for one final bout.
The Cronulla premiership captain and NSW Origin great steps back through the ropes on Friday night to face former Melbourne Storm enforcer Nelson Asofa-Solomona in a five-round heavyweight bout in Sydney.

Paul Gallen vs Nelson Asofa-Solomona Prediction
First thing to note is that this fight is taking place across five x 3-minute rounds and although this is a bit of a joke compared to the usual 12 rounds of a championship fight, we’re here for it.
The rules of engagement favour NAS, who has stopped all three of his opponents with power rather than technique or a gas tank. Although, they’ve been far from experienced boxers.
His three fights have been against former NRL forwards Jeremy Latimore, Jarrod Wallace and George Burgess. But NAS has shown that his right uppercut can put anyone out and Gallen will be avoiding that one at all costs.
NAS isn't bulletproof, though. Wallace tagged him with right hands through the first two rounds before Asofa-Solomona dropped him twice in the third.
That's Gallen's way in. He's durable, he's relentless, he can box on the inside and he's spent 19 pro fights making bigger men uncomfortable. Just ask Mark Hunt.
At 45, Gallen’s back is against the wall against the younger and more athletic fighter, but he’s the better boxer by leaps and bounds and man does he have heart.
Even the Queenslanders have come around to support Gal.
If Gallen is half as good as he was against Justis Huni, Big Nasty won’t be here to stay.
Betting tip: Paul Gallen.
