Tim Tszyu Next Fight

Tim Tszyu is scheduled to fight former unified world champion Errol Spence Jr. on Sunday, July 26, 2026. 

The fight will take place at the Afterpay Arena in Tszyu’s hometown of Sydney,  with the main broadcast beginning at 11:00am AEST on both Kayo Sports and Foxtel pay-per-view. 

Tim Tszyu Bio

Tim Tszyu is a professional Australian super welterweight and middleweight boxer with a 27-3 record and 66.67% KO rate. 

The son of Hall of Fame champion Kostya Tszyu, he won the WBO World Super Welterweight title in 2023 before suffering back-to-back title losses. 

He is currently ranked #6 in the world and #1 in Australia at super welterweight, with a high-profile fight against Errol Spence Jr scheduled for 25 July 2026 in Sydney.

Born and raised in Sydney, the 31-year-old has fought his way to the top of world boxing, claiming a WBO world title and competing on some of the sport's biggest stages.

Tszyu grew up surrounded by boxing. His father, Kostya Tszyu, is an undisputed light-welterweight champion and a Hall of Famer widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters of his generation. His brother, Nikita Tszyu, is also a professional boxer. 

His amateur record of 33 wins and just 1 loss gave a strong indication. Tszyu turned professional in December 2016 and has been working out of the Tszyu Boxing Academy in Rockdale, NSW ever since.

Tszyu's rise through the professional ranks was steady and convincing. He dismantled Jeff Horn in August 2020 a win that announced him as a serious domestic force and then followed it up with a TKO stoppage of Dennis Hogan in March 2021.

His US debut came in March 2022, when he travelled to take on Terrell Gausha and won by unanimous decision.

Tszyu defeated Tony Harrison in 2023 to claim the WBO Interim Super Welterweight title. Later that year he also took out Brian Mendoza over 12 rounds winning by unanimous decision to be elevated to full WBO World Super Welterweight Champion.

Tszyu would go on to lose his WBO title to Sebastian Fundora via split decision in Las Vegas in March 2024.

After a few more setbacks, Tim defeated Denis Nurja earlier this year earning him the vacant WBO International Middleweight title and setting up a blockbuster battle with Errol Spence Jr in Sydney.
