Richmond Tigers vs North Melbourne Prediction - Round 15 2026
19/06/2026|Josh Jenkins|AFL Tips & PredictionsThese two VFL foundation clubs do battle at the MCG as Richmond host North Melbourne.
The Roos bounced back in Round 14 with a victory over West Coast after an embarrassing 155-31 pounding at the hands of Fremantle, where North only managed to score 4 goals.
Against the Eagles, captain Nick Larkey bounced back to form - booting four goals himself to lead his team to the ever elusive W.
An interesting fun fact here - North now holds a 5-1 record in 2026 against clubs which will begin the weekend below it on the ladder. Not a great stat if you’re looking for North to do anything in the finals this year, but helpful for the purposes of this weekend.
Another helpful reminder is that these two have already played this year; in Round Six North Melbourne stormed home to an 130-55 win over Richmond over in Docklands.
The Tigers on the other hand were again losers last weekend, falling 115-80 against Brisbane in Hobart to drop their record to a miserable 2-11 this season.
Can the fighting Tiger army spark an incredible upset in front of their home fans? Or will the rising Kangaroos assert their dominance and continue marching toward a top 10 spot?

Richmond Tigers vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Predictions and Betting Tips
Head-to-Head Prediction
The Kangaroos had to win one match over in Western Australia to justify their commercial arrangement, and they did exactly that.
It was only just, but a win is a win. Now they return home to Victoria and get a look at securing a lay-up over the 17th placed Tigers.
Richmond are going okay relative to expectations, despite the massive injury crisis that has completely taken over their 2026 campaign.
They have managed to find a dynamic forward option in Jasper Alger and we really like the look of their young tall forwards competing in the air.
The Roos were woeful against Fremantle but showed far more competitive intent against the Eagles. Intent is the entire name of the game here.
North Melbourne need to get after the young Tigers early and slot quick goals to silence the yellow and black crowd.
Luke Davies-Uniacke, Harry Sheezel, George Wardlaw and Tristan Xerri should be far too much for Richmond's ball-winners, presenting ample opportunities to kick some goals.
Expect the class of the North midfield to blow this contest open late in the piece.
Head-to-head prediction: North Melbourne Kangaroos by 21 points.
First Goal Scorer Prediction
All eyes will be on Nick Larkey as he returned to form last week with four goals. We’re thinking that this might just open up some space for youngster Zane Duursma.
Duursma has been killing it in 2026, combining flair with goal-kicking instinct. Once experience brings him composure and consistency, North will have an elite forward for many years.
Following his current form line, there is some great value for Duursma as first goal scorer in this one.
We’re thinking the likes of Sheezel and LDU should find Duursma early and get the Roos off to a good start.
Betting tip: Zane Duursma.
Most Disposals Prediction
In his last two games against the Tigers, Harry’s had a ridiculous record of 54 and 39 disposals.
Sheezel will team up with his buddy Tristan Xerri for North to dominate the possession in this matchup.
We’re expecting more of the same for Harry Sheezel against the Tigers in this one.
Betting tip: Harry Sheezel 35+ disposals.
Odds are subject to change.*
