North Melbourne vs Gold Coast Suns Prediction - Round 11 2026

21/05/2026|Josh Jenkins|AFL Tips & Predictions

Coming off a disastrous Round 10 result, North Melbourne will host Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Kangaroos’ 133-65 loss to Adelaide in South Australia ended in a somewhat flattering scoreline given the Roos trailed by as many as 88 points in the third quarter.

North were put to shame in the second stanza by Adelaide; barely taking possession at all and being completely out enthused at every contest.

It marked a serious regression for a side with top 10 hopes in 2026 and extended their losing streak to four matches.

Elsewhere, Gold Coast secured a third straight victory by defeating Port Adelaide 98-73 in Darwin last weekend.

Interestingly, Gold Coast are a home ground team - they’re 6-0 at Carrara and Marrara Ovals this season, compared to 1-3 at all other venues.

The latest meeting between these clubs came during Gather Round last year, and saw Gold Coast secure a 141-89 victory, led by five goals from Ben King.

Can the Gold Coast get it done on the road? Or can North Melbourne rally after a mentally scarring performance and prove their finals credentials?

North Melbourne vs Gold Coast Suns Match Predictions and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Kangaroos went with a throwback in Sir Doug Nicholls Round. It was a throwback to their worst performances under Noble and Shaw.

And now, in Clarkson’s fourth season, these types of performances were supposed to be a thing of the past. From 16 points up to game over in around 25 minutes of playing time across the end of the first quarter and midway through the second, it was stunningly bad stuff from the Roos.

Most of the squad had two or less tackles, while others had less than 20 pressure acts. It was a total mess at Adelaide Oval.

But they can rebound here against a team who is yet to fall in love with Docklands Stadium. The Suns relish the opportunity to play in Darwin; but Marvel Stadium is a different story entirely.

Around the ball, this will be an epic clash. We expect a thrilling battle with Luke Davies-Uniacke, Harry Sheezel, George Wardlaw, and Finn O’Sullivan lining up against Matt Rowell, Noah Anderson, Christian Petracca, and Touk Miller.

This match will be won and lost in the middle of the ground – and we’re leaning towards Dimma’s men after seeing North Melbourne completely dominated last week.

Head-to-head prediction: Gold Coast Suns by 14 points.

First Goal Scorer Prediction

Ben King tops the Coleman Medal tally after 10 rounds on 33 goals. He had a quiet one last week against Port Adelaide with just one goal and will be keen to rectify that and put some distance between him and the rest of the pack in the Coleman Medal race.

We expect the likes of Touk Miller, Christian Petracca, and Noah Anderson to feed Kingy early in space to give him every opportunity to open the account. He kicked five against these guys last year – expect a few more from Ben King this Saturday.

Betting tip: Ben King first goal scorer.

Most Disposals Prediction

North Melbourne's Harry Sheezel has been nullified in recent weeks, particularly last week when they were absolutely dominated by Adelaide.

It’s hard to have any confidence in Sheezel this week after he was completely shut out of the contest! That said; we’re expecting Gold Coast’s Noah Anderson to be the most involved here.

The blueprint for shutting down North Melbourne has been established, there’s zero % doubt that Dimma’s reviewed that footage in depth and set this game up for the Gold Coast to have the upper hand.

The skipper will play a dominant role here if and when the Suns manage to control the clearance battle.

Betting tip: Noah Anderson most disposals.
