North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Fremantle Dockers Prediction - Round 13 2026

05/06/2026|Josh Jenkins|AFL Tips & Predictions

The 2026 Toyota AFL Premiership Season rolls into an intriguing regional battle in Round 13 when the high-flying Fremantle Dockers travel down the highway to visit the North Melbourne Kangaroos at Hands Oval in Bunbury.

Freo are riding the longest and most spectacular winning streak in their club's history, having put the entire competition on notice over the last two months.

Longmuir's men extended their incredible unbeaten run to 11 consecutive matches last week with a comprehensive 103-78 dismantling of reigning premiers Brisbane on their own deck at the Gabba.

Up forward, the purple tsunami was simply irresistible, the dynamic trio of Patrick Voss, Jye Amiss, and Josh Treacy ran riot to combine for 11 majors.

Meanwhile, North Melbourne enter this contest feeling fresh following their Round 12 bye.

The Roos will still be feeling confident after producing one of the most remarkable and memorable comeback victories in recent memory during Round 11.

If you hadn’t heard, Alistair Clarkson’s squad are on the up – and they managed to overturn a massive 43-point deficit against the Gold Coast Suns, sealing a 111-105 win, courtesy of a cold-blooded Cam Zurhaar goal after the final siren.

Fremantle managed to edge out the Roos in their solitary meeting last season, securing a tight 73-67 victory at Optus Stadium. But as we said, Roos are on the up and anything can happen in footy.

The locals at Bunbury can’t wait for this one, and we can’t either.

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Fremantle Dockers Match Predictions and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Kangaroos are embarking on an extensive trip west for a crucial fortnight of football, starting with this fascinating regional assignment against a rampaging opposition. A barnstorming Fremantle line-up await them first up in Bunbury, looking to keep their historic juggernaut moving forward.

There is certainly a unique world where this type of travel, regional ground condition, and neutral environment sees the red-hot Dockers dip slightly in overall enthusiasm. If that complacency creeps in, it could give the re-energized Kangaroos a massive look into the contest.

The highly anticipated ruck battle between Tristan Xerri and Luke Jackson will be amazing to watch at the stoppages. The Kangaroos on-ballers will need to perform at their absolute peak to control clearances from the opening bounce.

If they fail to win first use of the leather, defensive stalwarts like Griffin Logue, Aidan Corr, and Charlie Comben will be completely up against it dealing with an incredibly in-form forward line containing Jye Amiss, Patrick Voss, and Josh Treacy.

The traders currently list Fremantle as warm four-goal favourites, and after watching them collect 11 consecutive wins on the spin, that view is completely fair. However, we would love to see these emerging Kangaroos bring their signature grit and push the competition benchmarks real close.

Head-to-head prediction: Fremantle Dockers by 11 points.

First Goal Scorer Prediction

We’re looking at Freo forward Patrick Voss to make an immediate impact and slot the opening goal of the match over in Bunbury.

Voss has been in blistering form this season; in the last three matches alone he’s kicked four, three, and five goals respectively.

With the opposition defence heavily focused on shutting down Amiss and Treacy, Voss tends to find the Sherrin in space inside-50.

Expect his teammates to search for him deep in the zone from the very first whistle to set the tone.

Betting tip: Patrick Voss.

Most Disposals Prediction

We’re backing North Melbourne gun Harry Sheezel to find plenty of footy and lead the disposal count away in Bunbury.

The Dockers mids share distribution well across a balanced midfield. For example, in last week’s win against Brisbane, no one exceeded 25 disposals – despite them running rampant in attack throughout the match.

Point being, they all create opportunities together rather than relying on an individual or two to get them into good positions on the field.

In stark contrast, the Roos remain heavily dependent on a select handful of high-volume distributors to transition out of defence.

With the ball constantly filtering through Sheezel's hands over four quarters each week, he’ll be thereabouts again in Round 13.

Betting tip: Harry Sheezel.
