Brisbane Lions vs Port Adelaide Power Prediction - Round 20 2026

24/07/2026|Josh Jenkins|AFL Tips & Predictions

In tight competition with Adelaide and Melbourne for a top four finish, the Lions need to continue their winning ways to book a qualifying finals match and with just five rounds to go, it’s all on the line as they host Port Adelaide.

The Lions come into Round 20 on six consecutive wins, looking formidable as they cast their eyes towards potentially winning an historic three-peat.

Elsewhere, Port showed plenty of character with a depleted team, holding a lead at half-time against the ladder-leading Dockers before eventually falling 103-75 at home on Saturday.

All Australian Zak Butters is among those missing for a Power side stripped of several key contributors. Jason Horne-Francis makes his return from injury, though having missed footy recently, he may take time to hit his stride.

The Lions have won eight of their last nine meetings with Port Adelaide, most recently a 120-92 result at this very venue in Round 17 last season.

A formidable Gabba fortress and a red-hot reigning premiers makes this a tall order for the depleted Port Adelaide outfit.

Brisbane Lions vs Port Adelaide Power Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Lions went west and handled their business against the Eagles. Nothing too glorious and nothing too painstaking, just a win but one soured by a hamstring query over veteran Dayne Zorko.

His health will be key into September, knowing how crucial he is to the Lions' ball movement.

Port were down their three best players but gritted hard and hung tough against the ladder leaders. Away from home, we wouldn't be surprised to see them cop a hiding here.

Oscar Allen might need some more VFL action, but he's healthy and the pressure for spots is on as the chase for the three-peat looms.

Head-to-head prediction: Brisbane Lions by 57 points.

First Goal Scorer Prediction

King Charles himself. Something tells us we’ll be hearing Country Roads early again at the Gabba.

Charlie Cameron lives for these moments at home and against a Port defence already stretched by absences, he'll be amongst the first to arrive at the contest.

Betting tip: Charlie Cameron.

Most Disposals Prediction

Lachie Neale's contract negotiations of late haven't slowed his performances one bit. After a slow start to the year, the 2020 Brownlow Medal winner has been building all season and facing a depleted Port midfield, we’re expecting him to be busy from the first bounce.

Lachie Neale to continue the form that has guided Brisbane to back-to-back premierships and more recently, six wins in a row.

Betting tip: Lachie Neale.

AFL Same Game Multi Tips

Betting tip: Logan Morris 2+ goals, Mitch Georgiades 2+ goals, Lachie Neale 30+ disposals, Brisbane Lions win by 40+.
