Where to Watch AFL: Full AFL Streaming List

The 2025 AFL season is in full swing, beginning this year with Opening Round on March 6th, and going all the way to Grand Final day on September 27th.

2025 marks the first year of the AFL’s new broadcast deal, which runs from 2025-2031 and is one of the biggest deals in the history of Australian sport.

With more games than ever before, this deal will see the introduction of a new team, new shows and present more coverage of the game than ever before across two different networks.

Where Can I Watch AFL Live?

Games will be split across Channel 7 and Fox Sports, as they have since 2012. Channel 7 holds the free -to-air rights, including every finals game.

Under the new agreement, Channel Seven will show up to four matches per week live on their networks, with Fox Footy simultaneously broadcasting every game live and ad-break free during play.

In a change under this new agreement, Fox Footy will provide their own commentary for every single game, including Thursday night and Friday night games – games which have been previously simulcasted – and will provide commentary on all home-and-away games and finals except for the Grand Final.

Additionally, Foxtel will have exclusive right to all Saturday games in the brand new ‘Super Saturday on Fox’, with no free-to-air broadcast of any matches, with the exception of marquee matches (An example of this would be Dreamtime at the G which is usually Saturday night but has been moved to a Friday night fixture in 2025), for the entire season in Victoria, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, for the first nine weeks of the season in Western Australia and South Australian and the first 11 weeks in New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT.

Full List of How to Watch AFL Live

Match Game time/timeslot Broadcaster(s)

1 Thursday night Channel 7, Fox Footy/Kayo

2 Friday night Channel 7, Fox Footy/Kayo

3 Saturday afternoon Fox Footy/Kayo

4 Saturday twilight Fox Footy/Kayo

5 Saturday night Fox Footy/Kayo

6 Saturday night Fox Footy/ Kayo

7 Sunday early Fox Footy/ Kayo

8 Sunday afternoon Channel 7, Fox Footy/ Kayo

9 Sunday twilight/ night Fox Footy/ Kayo

How to AFL Live Free Online

Match Game time/timeslot Broadcaster(s)

1 Thursday night Channel 7

2 Friday night Channel 7

8 Sunday afternoon Channel 7

Sevens allocation of matches to either Seven or 7mate varies from state to state and can sometimes depend on match start times.

The major exception to this table above is all matches featuring a non-Victorian team will be broadcasted live in that teams’ state on Channel Seven, simulcasting Foxtel’s coverage.

Where to Watch AFL Live Streaming

Fans unable to get in front of a TV now have more streaming options than ever before.

For the first time ever, AFL football is now available for free on 7Plus for all games originally broadcast on Channel 7.

All games broadcasted by Foxtel, except for the Grand Final are available to be streamed on Kayo Sports. Kayo is a sports streaming service that allows you to stream any sport content available on Foxtel’s channels for $25 A month.

How to Watch AFL Internationally

Heading overseas for work or a holiday?
