CALA DE ORO (6) drew wide and was pretty plain last time out when 2.5 lengths from the winner in fifth at this course and distance. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Will be in this for a long way. MACKLIN (2) is a 47-start maiden who looks close to that elusive win after finishing in the placings at the last couple of runs, most recently when third over 1100m at this track. Should be prominent from the outset. Solid claims on best form.
