EMERALD COUNTESS (2) finished fourth two runs back then did well last start when she made late ground but found one better over 1200m at Vaal, beaten only one length. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. TRAIL RUNNER (4) has been in the money five times including last start on December 27 when second over 1160m at this track. Has been in the top-three at all three runs at this circuit. Sure to prove very tough to beat. SAVARA'S PRINCESS (3) wound up strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1500m at Vaal. Hard to beat in this suitable race. GIMMESUMLUV (7) faced the starter for the first time last start and was just fair in finishing sixth at Vaal over 1200m, beaten 5.5 lengths. Expected to do more.
