PI TIME (1) could only manage sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1207m at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths. Looks well placed so expect another big run. TAPIT WARRIOR (9) is a three-year-old gelding at the races for the first time. From an elite family that includes black type success, being by Per Capita from Spinning Steel. Comes from a stable which has an impressive strike rate with the first-starters. Looks one of the better chances despite an awkward barrier. DE NOVO (4) was always well back over this course and distance last time and never threatened in the straight, beaten 9 lengths into ninth. Perfectly placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. PINGO (7) was safely held on debut last start, finishing 12 lengths behind the winner in fifth over 1006m at this track (Dirt). Plenty of scope for improvement. Can improve.
