A tricky opener where four of the five seem to hold a chance. HAVANA HURRICANE (1) was an excellent third on his reappeaeance in the 1200m Listed Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury before finding life too tough in the G1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot. He looks interesting dropped in both trip and grade and the application of first-time cheekpieces also add appeal. WESTPORT (3) is another who failed to fire at Royal Ascot but could bounce back to form. George Boughey's charge never got into that day but he was three from three prior and retains loads of potential. The drop back to 1000m looks like a plus for Windsor runner-up COMICAL POINT (2). ONE AND GONE (5) completes the shortlist.
