GOLON (6) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing second and only 1.5 lengths from the winner at the end of 1200m. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. CLOBBER (4) returns from a spell. Finished second at this track and distance at his only appearance last prep five months ago. Should settle handy in the run. Leading contender. PROVOCATOR (2) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 7 lengths into fourth. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. CORSICO (10) returned from a spell three weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into sixth over 1200m at this track. Fitter so watch for a better performance.
