RIO MAGGIO (2) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his only appearance last prep at this track over 1000m on January 4. Should camp just off the leaders. Sure to be in the finish. NAJA (8) returns after a spell of eight months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1000m at this track. Now under the care of new trainer Carlos Daniel Etchechoury. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. MERRY GO BOY (13) did little when finishing ninth over 1000m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his eighth at this track the run before. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is set to turn things around. ES DESEADO (4) is coming along nicely this prep, scoring by one length last start over 1100m at this track. Nicely placed to keep the ball rolling.
