HOT DOG (4) finished third, beaten 3 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at this track. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. DON JALAPENO (9) has been well supported in both of his two career starts but has failed to break through. Most recently finished sixth over 1600m at this track, beaten 4 lengths. Sure to be about the money. MONTANES (7) was safely held on debut last start, finishing 8 lengths behind the winner in seventh over 1400m at this track. Plenty of scope for improvement. Not to be discounted.
