BLACK MESA (11) has been in the betting at both starts but hasn't managed to break through. Most recently finished fourth over 1207m at this track (Dirt), beaten 16 lengths. Among the leading chances on his best figures. FLEBOTOMIST (7) ran well on debut last start to finish second over 1106m at this track (Dirt) in a tougher race. Promising type with improvement to come so another top-three finish is on the cards. J J WARRIOR (1) was safely held on debut last start, finishing 20 lengths behind the winner in seventh over 1106m at this track (Dirt). Worth noting Erik Asmussen has been engaged. Plenty of scope for improvement. Not to be discounted.
