JOE'S CANDY (4) registered a strong win at Ellis Park two runs ago. Not disgraced last time out when in contention on the bend before finishing second over 1609m at this track, beaten 0.8 lengths. Must raise the bar but this looks well within his grasp. TUFF BIZ (3) is a talented gelding who was well held last time in tougher grade over 1673m in Listed grade at Prairie Meadows (Dirt). Well placed in an easier grade here and can bounce back. WHY NOT HIM (5) closed last prep 12 weeks ago when he finished third over 1609m at Lone Star Park. A bold showing is expected. SHOP TIME (8) is coming off a last-start seventh, beaten 14 lengths, over 1308m at this track. Right in the contest.
