BLIND EYE (3) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished seventh when fresh from a spell two starts back at Mountaineer Park (Dirt) then improved and scored as favourite over 1408m at Mountaineer Park Turf (Turf) three-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.3 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to figure in the finish. VIA DELLA SPIGA (6) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing second when resuming last time out over 1609m at this track (Synthetic). Looks well placed so expect another big run. MAKOA (9) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Tampa Bay Downs Turf (Turf), finishing second and only 0.3 lengths from the winner at the end of 1609m. Can build on that solid recent effort.
