IOWA CLUB (1) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when fifth over 1673m at this track (Dirt) after he got a long way back. Has further improvement to come and shapes as a leading player. SUCCESSION (8) settled well back when 13 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1710m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his sixth at this track the run before. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including three wins. G Corbett gets the best out of this six-year-old gelding. This is a nice drop in grade so he is sure to be prominent. RATLEFF (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1710m at this track, beaten 12 lengths into sixth. Well placed to make amends.
