WAVE RIDER (5) scored last start by a nose at this track (Dirt) over 1408m. Form here strong boasting three wins from six starts. Must be respected. QUASI WARRIOR (3) returned from a break last start and led throughout to score by 1.5 lengths over 1609m at this track (Dirt). Strong performer at this stage of the prep with a win and one minor placings from three attempts. Has a very good record here with four wins from six starts. Will prove tough to beat. PARTY AT SAM'S (4) turned in a fine effort to win by 0.3 lengths at today's course and distance last time out to build on a solid first-up result. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to cope. GREAT COMPOSER (6) went forward and proved too strong last time, scoring with 2 lengths to spare over 1207m at this track (Dirt). Has a formidable combination with Eliseo Ruiz who has been aboard for his last two wins. One of the better hopes.
