HAY CHIEF (5) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Couldn't follow that up last time out when fourth over 1811m at Laurel, beaten 7 lengths. Enjoys a drop in grade so he can recapture winning form. SKIMBLE SHANKS (4) has been out of the winners list for a long time, last start finishing second at this track (Dirt) over 1673m. Should camp just off the leaders. Will be in this for a long way. KEEPING IT COUNTRY (1) won at this track (Dirt) two starts ago but was below his best at a more recent appearance, finishing sixth over 1207m at Laurel (Dirt). Nicely placed to bounce back.
