SAMMY SMART (6) improved from a second in a Thurles handicap to be coming out on top by a short-head attempting a Punchestown handicap chase on New Years Eve. Will be thereabouts. KELCE (5) bounced back from finishing seventh in a Cheltenham handicap chase to place second at Aintree on Boxing Day. Expected to challenge.
