EMILY'S JOY (8) scored a 1.5 lengths win on dirt at Mountaineer Park two back then followed up with a minor placing, again on dirt, at Mountaineer Park over 1006m two weeks ago. Hard to beat back on the turf here. CLAY SOLDIER (5) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1106m at Colonial Downs Turf after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the class to take care of this field. ALIEN PRINCESS (1) turned in a fine effort to score by half a length at this course and distance when first-up from a break last time out. Goes up a rung or two but she is up to the task. NIT WITNESS (11) is building towards a win with placings at her last two runs, the latest effort a third over 1207m at Delaware Park (Dirt) when beaten 8 lengths. Expected to cross from wide out. Can feature in the finish.
