BY THE BOOK (1) scored very easily first-up in a weaker race last start over 2410m at this track. He is a lightly tried but very progressive 5-year-old gelding who hails from the Charlie Appleby stable. This is harder, but he can make it back-to-back wins. ARABIAN LIGHT (2) was a determined winner last time at this track, scoring by half a length over this distance. He drops 5kg in the weights, so he is worth following up. FORT GEORGE (5) resumed over 1800m at this track last time out and finished second by just over a length. The extra furlong is the key, and he can go one better in this even field. CHIBITTY (3) is a four-year-old import having his first run for the David Simcock yard. He last appeared when third over 1600m in the G3 Prix Perth at Saint-Cloud three-and-a-half months ago. The French form usually stacks up nicely in this part of the world, and any market moves will be worth following up.
